Michael's P. O. V

Home was a bit more quiet, not because no one was around, but because Mia wasn't here. I had hoped she'd call and wish we good luck but from the looks of it she might not. Tom pulled over at school, I looked at my watch, it was six o'clock already.

An hour left.

School was noiser than I had expected it to be, the rival team hadn't arrived yet so the field was empty, the boys were in the locker room.

I decided to go take a feel of my lucky ball before the game, I hadn't had time to toss it around much.

A noise stopped me dead in my tracks while I was walking out of the boys bathroom. Following the source, it led me to somebody stuffing something, an envelope into a locker. He had on a blue school football team hoodie the team's name was boldly printed on the back.
