Even though I just admitted to the first person aside my mom that I couldn't cry, it didn't lessen the weight on my shoulders. I sat in front with Josie, who had her headphones on to drown our voices.

The girls were having fun in the back singing along to Ella's travel mix of her favorite songs. I occupied myself with going through the photos Michael and I took during our little getaway from school.

The day I told him to leave, what the hell was I thinking? I gave him a free ticket to go chase other girls. So why did I feel bad about it?.

A thought popped into my head, I hadn't thanked West for the birthday surprise he had planned for me, or thought of rather.

Me: Thanks for the surprise, it meant a lot.

My eyes were trained on the text waiting for him to respond, the message showed it was read, so I knew he had his phone with him.
