I did not know what to say at that moment, she had me against the wall with an angry looking expression on her face.

"I..."

"You shut up!. I warned you not to join the cheer squad, you're not good enough for them, you only made them come in second place." Cheryl went on, spitting out the facts in my face.

Some days after Josie persuaded me into joining the team, she suddenly started to email me. I did not reply the first surge of emails but they kept on coming and she somehow found me on Instagram.

I agreed to meet up with her some days before the competition, and beg her to stop bothering me. But when I found out that it was the former Captain, Cheryl herself, my confidence went down.

"Tha... that's no...not true." It sucked how I couldn't muster up the courage like I did back at the competition. She took my stuttering as a sign of my weakness, which only made me want to cry.
