Two Bodyguards and a Plant Mage

I leaned back against my chair and rubbed my eyes.  I could flop around on the floor and throw a huge toddler tantrum but other than the momentary feel-good of blowing off steam, what good would that do?

I truly did not care about the wedding, one way or the other, and regardless of what Connor said, I certainly could care less about what other mages thought of me.

I'd lived with the bullying and the silent treatment all my life, and then all of a sudden, I had an entire troupe of men trying to defend me.

What more could I ask for?

He was right about one thing, though.

If this was going to be the only marriage we were ever going to have, then I would feel badly about making the twins miss their only chance at a wedding just because I didn't feel like dressing up and standing in front of the whole mage world.
