Fallen Soldier

The lady strolled like she didn't have a care in the world but her ass was big enough for Joey not to rush her along, he looked at her ass sway until she came back over with the book.

The lady saw Joey eyeing her and her face turned into a look of disgust " 90$".

"What?! 90$ for a book, not even prostitutes cost that much!" Joey kept his outburst in his mind.

"Lady, I might be small but I am no fool," Joey said between his teeth.

"Books aren't mass-produced anymore, It's either Martial Arts Books or nothing. Everyone tries to get into a Sky Military Base for opportunities so regular books aren't a necessity unless it's a Martial Book. Martial books aren't mass-produced, they are written by people who have mastered the Martial Arts. That is part of the reason Martial Arts book cost so much and that book is what Martial books are written in" the lady said with a deadpan.

Joey looked at her tag that said 'Penelope', she wasn't the best in the face but she had a lot in the waist.

But that didn't stop Joey from wanting to vomit blood, he gritted his teeth and slammed the money on the table and did the exchange. Joey opened the book and went to one of the tables that were available. He never knew how Martial Arts Book were made or even how the diagrams or instruction even worked.

But did the first person to write a Martial Book know how?

No!

Joey thought of how to approach this while the whole thing was still fresh in his mind decided he would make his own Martial Arts book, Joey tried to section his books into different parts: Movement, Attack and Dodging.

This was because he didn't know the name of whatever Martial Arts they used so he had to divide them into these categories.

Joey didn't dilly dally and started to jot down the notes that he remembered from the fight. He drew stickmen to show their positioning in the fight, he showed the threat and how each stickman dodge them. He drew different positions of both fighter how best they did to attack without dying, he made sure to write all their failure under a new section in which he called 'Book of Failures'.

Joey wasn't clueless when he saw a bad move or a failed attack he placed into the book of failures. This would serve to help him remember these moves to perfect them later on.

"Can I use the moves they use even though I don't have a superpower? Even though I don't have the same superpower if I mimicked the same action It was bound to be strong wouldn't it?" Joey thought.

Joey noticed that the Martial Arts that was used with their superpowers were different, this section included the martial arts that were used when they were using superpowers, their moves weren't random or reckless. That was something rare, This new section was called Power moves.

Joey's new 'Martial book' had 5 new sections: Attack, Defence, Movement, Power Moves and Book of failures,

It took Joey about half an hour to finish writing the time, it was about 4:00 in the afternoon and he wanted to finish writing to get some practice. He planned out his training regiment that he was going to do and a time table he was supposed to follow for the next month until the Sky Academy Tournament.

Joey went on one of the computers that were available and say many things that were available to buy, the internet was bustling with people and deals and trades that were live.

He took the opportunity to find out more about Afterlife.

Joey unconsciously looked at the flier to double-check the date, he looked at the kids around his age on the flier.

Afterlife was a deathmatch between two fighters, they were normally pre-arranged. But weren't revealed to the public until the last minute. The fight would commence when both fighters were near tired, the whole selling point of it was seeing people fight for their lives.

It was the best way for underground fighters to make money. You could gamble anything even your life but that would be converted into money that out are required to pay forever.

Joey couldn't help but sneer at the post, the thought of watching people fight to the death was sickening. But Joey couldn't help but acknowledge that there was a lot of value in seeing two high calibre fighter fight teeth and nail.

Joey thought of something and clenched his teeth, and cursed himself for his shamelessness. He clicked the search bar.

[Pirated Martial Arts]

He looked at the screen eagerly and waiting for the results, but the backline ran through his face when the link came up.

[Why Martial Arts Book can't be pirated]

[Man Castrated after pirating Marital Arts Book from businessman]

[The hacker that hacked Sky Military Martial Arts ]

[Genius hacker Lady Moore has gone missing after being recruited by the Sky Military]

Joey cringed when he read the article of the man that was castrated, he hacked a corporation that bought Advanced Tier Martial Arts. He was hired by an underground agency to retrieve it, but the same company hired the underground agency to find the hacker and castrate him.

Joey closed his eyes and moment of silence for a fallen soldier.

Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get any Martial Arts to call his own, If he were to get some martial arts that everyone used would it really be worth anything.

From the corner of his eyes, his eyes unconsciously moved toward Ms Moore, but he dismissed it as a fluke there was no way it was that much of a coincidence.

Right?

"Get up or get fucked"

In the midst of Joey using the computer, he looked up at the group of people behind him. The one in the middle that had two shortswords in his waist seemed to be their leader.

Joey looked at them with a strange look and said, "I'm sorry, I don't swing that way"
