5 Trainee Jenna

~Much appreciated. Stay safe; oh, you really don't need to worry at this time about Sylvie. Just take each day at a time until you find the right one.~ Kitty replies to Ketan and chuckles.

~Thanks for the sisterly advice. Get spoke rest. It's late there.~ Ketan closes the connection and teleports to an alley near the airport. He pulls out his phone and finds a shortlist of flights. 'Always causing problems, but at least this time she is requesting help.' He walked into the airport, but if anyone saw him, they really saw an image of Kitty. "Can I get a connecting flight to Paris?"

Brielle lifts the empty wine glass, sighing. Carefully placing the book on the shelf, she pulled the bottle of wine and topped up her glass. Sipping the wine, she lays back, not grabbing the book this time. 'I was not expecting Leo to be the next one to find a partner. He is way too cold, but I can see that he has a soft sweet slide he likes to hide, especially at work. Not that I can't blame him. You never know what those people are going to do.' She chugs the wine in the glass and places it next to her book. She gets out of the tub and wraps a towel around her body.

From the living room, she hears the ringing of her cell. "This is a mission; I repeat a mission." This repeats as Brielle runs to the living room and grabs her phone. Quickly flipping it open, "Brielle here."

"I was told that you closed two missions tonight. You did not need to work that hard." An older male's voice comes through the phone.

"Asurlon, you know that if I get a call, I will go. Besides, if we do not take care of the bad ones, then they will just keep coming." Brielle sits on the couch and sips her wine.

"Yes, well, that is true, but I did not call you to give you a lecture. Your last trainee has dropped out, and I found a new girl for you. Please don't scare her. There are only so many huntresses in the organization. You are one of the few that is a higher rank than others." Asurlon says this, then sighs. "I am sorry for what happened."

"Stop right there. I do not want your pity. I just want to get my job done and continue to make the money I need. There is nothing that can be done about the way I got into the organization, but you know that my drive is real." Brielle closes her eyes and thinks for a moment, "you know the reason I get the trainees to quit is because they are unable to handle the pressure. They wouldn't last, and the next one, I will try to not scare off. No promises. I believe in tough love."

"Fine. The girl's name is Jenna. I hope that you are ready because she has some baggage. She specifically asked for you. I do not know what you did, but she seems to look up to you." Asurlon Sighs, before continuing, "I have her reporting to the office at seven in the morning."

"Alright, I understand. I will be there by six then. I want to get some of the paperwork filled out, at least the stuff I can. Although I don't want to, I will see you at seven." Brielle hangs up the call and drops the phone beside her on the side table. "Another trainee? I just don't get why they want me to train. I seem to lose more trainees than anyone else… wait, Leo has just as bad of a track record as I do. We are lone wolves for the most part." Chugging the last bit of wine in the glass, she places it beside her phone and curls up on the couch. 'Please just let me sleep.' some tears fall down her cheeks as she passes out.

Early in the morning, Brielle gets up and heads into the office. She greets the few people there. "Good morning, hunter Brielle. It is rare to see you up sop early."

Morning Abby. I am not here because I want to be but because I have to be. I have a new apprentice." Brielle sighs and shakes her head before heading to her office. As she approaches, she sees a girl in front of her door. "Jenna? What are you doing in front of my office?"

"Bree!~" Jenna runs and jumps into Brielle's arms. "I've officially been approved to be a trainee. After all my hard work. I hope that I am able to make my parents proud."

"..." Hugging Jenna in return, she looks at her office door and then at Jenna. "You are my new trainee? I thought that you would stay in the office doing office work? Are you sure that you want to go on hunts? I am sure that they are proud of you, Jenna." Letting go of Jenna, Brielle opens the door to her office, "come in."

Jenna goes into the office smiling. "I didn't mean to surprise you. I really did request you. I do not mind if I do not do a lot of missions at first. You were the one that started my training when you were not on missions. So I should be the one to thank you. I knew that you would be here an hour early, so I showed up to chat with you."

Brielle closes the door and looks at the girl standing in front of her. She was a young teenager, only sixteen years old. Sighing, "if you are sure about this, then I will not stop you. I will not be soft on you just because I trained you in the past, and what I say will be your law. That means Leo and the elder are above us. Even though Leo is not the head, he works directly with Asurlon. You will need to report to the office at six in the morning. If I am not here, please make my coffee..."

"Three sugar and a dash of the vanilla cream. I remember that when you did some of my training. I know more about you than I ever thought that I would, and it makes me happy. There is just one request. May I still the fifth of October off?"

Thinking for a moment, "yes, that is my coffee order, and you know that is a day off that I would never force you to work. I think that we will have a good working relationship. I know that you are competent. There is some paperwork that we need to fill out to make you my official trainee." Brielle sits at the desk and starts to fill out the forms. She hands each page to Jenna. "Read over the contract, and if there is anything that you think needs to be revised, let me know."

Jenna takes the papers reading over them slowly. Nodding her head as she reads, she picks up the pen on the desk and signs on the line. "There is nothing unfair about that contract. I have herald that your rules are strict and that most trainees don't last a month with you, but you do not need to worry. I know what you expect out of me. That is why I begged Leo to help me." She stands proudly with her hands on her waist.

"Let's go over your duties; yes, I will need the coffee. I want you to screen my calls. You will have a list on the desk of people you will patch to me right away and those you can take a message from. Also, if fuck face calls, you can hang up on him or yell at him. I want nothing to do with that loser."

"I do not know why you do not let me kill him. I want to end him for what he did to you. It was not fair." Jenna went to the coffee pot and made a pot of coffee.

Sighing, "we have been over this a thousand times. We do not take the lives of humans. I do not want him to have a peaceful life. I am now making a lot more money, and I can buy more fancy things. Maybe I should flaunt it so that he knows how bad he fucked up? Hmmmm." Brielle looks at Jenna and smiles, "Jenna, I am glad that you are my trainee."

Jenna turned, smiling with tears in her eyes. She wipes the tears away, "I am sorry; every time I get frustrated, I cry for you. I will rip him a new one, and if you have time, maybe we can go on a shopping trip?"

"Sure, that would be nice, but we have a lot of work to do." Brielle scans her thumbprint into the computer and starts the access program. "Hmmmmm, that is strange. How are you already entered into my system?"
