38 Mother and Son

The vampire was holding a baby and was about to bite into its neck. "Eating a meal. You are not supposed to be here at this celebration, Hunter." He hissed out at her.

Ketan was in his new hotel room, lying down in his room. Thinking about the hunter and his mark hissed at him. Flying to a perch up high in the room, facing away from him.

~Ketan, where the fuck did you go?? You are supposed to be monitoring the celebration at the mall.~ Yuki connected to him.

~Not going. Why don't you go and collect everything this year with Father? It would be good for you to get out of that cave you have been hiding in.~ Ketan closed his eyes and rolled over.

Yuki appeared at the foot of his bed, pulled Ketan off the bed, and stepped on his chest. "DO YOU THINK IF IT WAS SAFE, I WOULDN'T DO JUST THAT?!?! I AM IN HIDING FOR YOU AND KITSUNE." Her face was turning red while she went into a rage. "Why can't you do what you have been doing for the last little while? Huh, ANSWER ME, AHRIMAN!"

Looking up at his mother, Ketan sighs. "I will not go back because my control is slipping. I can't even control my own mark." Ketan closes his eyes and lets Yuki scream at him.

Yuki was about to scream at Ketan and looked at his mark, sulking on the pole. "Hey there, little buddy, come to your queen." Yuki held out her hand; the mark flew to her hand, landed safely and looked up at her. It screeched. "Evaki, that is a cute name for you. I would like to meet this girl that has named you. So you are running away from your fated mate? You know that life will pull you both together? That is how things will work." Looking down at her son, she glares at him.

"Let me take her memories away, at least for now. She is not in the right mindset and has been through too much. I want to give her time to be herself. If you agree, then I will go and collect everything and erase her memories of what happened." Ketan opened his eyes and looked up at Yuki.

Seeing her son look pitiful. "A temporary lock. That is what I will accept. You will not be able to run away forever. I will keep this from your father, but you better go and collect the offerings." Yuki stepped off Ketan, kissed the mark and spoke to it. "Evaki, give this fool some time to adjust. The girl will come to meet you and Ketan again."

Evaki screeches, flies around the room and lands on the bed, looking at the two.

"Stay here, Evaki. I will return after I have completed my tasks." Ketan kissed Yuki on the cheek. "Sorry for the trouble, Mother. I will go and do what must be done." Ketan left the room and was watching the crowd from the balcony. He watched Casimir flirt with Brielle; his blood started to boil until she left him and started to walk around. Her interaction with the werewolves made him smile. He watched the Vampire try to drink from a baby, and his rage once again fueled his mood. He came down, and as Brielle had her scythe at the vampire's throat. Ketan stabbed his hand through the vampire's chest and pulled out the heart. He held the heart to his mouth, squeezing the blood into his mouth and the empty heart turned to dust. With his other hand, he had held the baby.

Brielle watched Ketan eat the vampire's heart, and the other vampire turned to dust. "WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING?!?!"

"Feeding." Ketan licked the blood off his hand, and he touched her cheek. "Good job." He handed the child to her and approached the offerings. He nods and uses magic to transport the first set of offering to his mother and father.

Brielle took the child and was walking away, so she missed him taking the offerings away. She reached to the room and looked at Will and the girl cuddling.

Will looked up at her and smiled. "She will be okay. A little traumatized, but nothing that can't be fixed. Who do you have there?"

"A baby that almost got eaten. I will leave it with you. It will be good practice for you when you and Sam have a child." Brielle walked over to the changing table and changed the baby. She washed her gently and changed her into some new clothing. She placed the baby in the crib. "You remember how to make the formula?"

"Yeah. I'll be fine with the girls. This little one's name is Maggie." Will points to the one asleep in his arms. "I promise that I will be okay with both of them."

Nodding her head, she covered the baby and left the room. Casimir walked towards Brielle and sighed. "I see that we lost a soul to torture, but that is okay. That vampire is allowed to do as he pleases. I am sorry if he shocked you." He bowed to Brielle.

"Don't worry, this was not my first encounter with that vampire. I tend to ignore him, as I do not know what the fuck is on his mind. I honestly thought that I would not be seeing him again." Brielle and Casimir walk back to the offering area. "Did you place what you wanted to?"

"I did. Thank you for asking." Casimir smiled and walked with her. "Are you opposed to dating a supernatural?" He watches her expression.

"I am not opposed to it. It was not something that I thought would happen, though. Hunters and supernaturals do not get along at this time." Brielle smiled at Casimir.

Ketan watched the two interact and frowned upon hearing the conversation. He walked up to them, and he grabbed Casimir's arm. "I need to talk to you." He dragged Casimir away and glared at him.

"Can I help you, your majesty? I did not tell that hunter your status." Casimir looked at Ketan and saw his expression. "Wait… you…"

"Do not finish that sentence. I am glad that you are helping her, but if you continue hitting on her, then I will kill you. Do we have an understanding?" Ketan glared.

"Yes, Sir. I did not realize that you had staked your claim. I will back off immediately." Casimir bowed to Ketan and walked away, allowing him to go her.

Ketan walked to Brielle and picked up a strand of her hair. "Did you miss me?"

"NO! You took Evaki away. I assumed that you were gone, but then you appeared here in front of me. Why did you take Evaki away?" glaring up at Ketan, Brielle holds her hands in fists.

Thinking for a moment. "You will be leaving in the morning, correct? If you want to know, let me come back to your room, and I will explain it to you, Little Hunter." He kisses her hair and lets it fall. "This is not the place for this conversation, and we are both on duty."

Brielle blushes and glares up at him. "I am leaving at noon! Fine when this is down at two in the morning. I will have to walk around until six in the morning. We can talk at six." Brielle turns and scans the crowd. There were a few people detained, and the hostages were brought to Will. Brielle looked and saw that the gifts had been emptied. "This was fuller than before."

"Every two to three hours, the offerings get transported. The next time is midnight and then the last one at two. That is how this has always worked. I help oversee this event." Ketan walked beside her. "There are always some morons that bring sacrifices or slaves to offer." Ketan lets out a sigh and disappears. He grabs a couple by the troats and pins them both to the wall. "It is because of individuals like you that make this more enjoyable for me." Licking his lips, Ketan smells their fear.

Brielle ran up beside Ketan and cuffed the male. "This one will not be able to go anywhere now. I will take these children with me."

A smirk appears on the woman's face. "Die, hunter!" She presses a spot on her ring, and the children that Brielle was going to take away start screaming.

Crashing the lady's windpipe before turning around and pushing Brielle to the ground, protecting her from the explosion that was about to happen.

The slaves started exploding one by one. Brielle felts herself being pushed down to the ground. She hits the ground, but her head is pushed into a muscled chest and her head protected. Brielle opens her eyes and looks at the black shirt. There was a musky, woodsy smell that hit her nose, and she sighed and sniffed his scent again.
