This is a story about 3 childhood friends; Jessica Hemsworth, Alexander Collins, and Kyle Thomas. These three have been best of friends since middle school. Jessica had a secret crush on Alexander ever since they met but she never developed the courage to tell him that until she decided to confess to him on a Valentine's Day when they were in high school.

After four years of their relationship, Alex suddenly wanted to break up with Jessica. Devastated by Alex's sudden betrayal, the 19-year-old Jessica decided to move away.

Another five years went by. Jessica decided to return to her hometown as she had to attend a class reunion as well as a friends' wedding. After five years, the shy and timid Jessica had now turned into a strong-willed and beautiful woman or you could say a complete badass.

Please Be Mine Again

It has been two weeks since I last talked to Alex and Kyle, we would often greet each other as classmates but that would be it. They blended in real nice into our school environment, I worried less about them as they were gaining a lot of attention from the other students especially female ones but I was worried about one thing as to why Alex would either stare or glance at me from time to time. It would make my heart flutter.


I had my lunch and was headed to the library. On the way, Cassandra, one of my school bullies came out of nowhere and stopped me in the middle of the way. Yo, Hey Jessica, where are you headed? she asked. I suspected something was fishy since she isn't one to ask about my details. To the library, I said awkwardly. What! that's so boring, why don't you come with us and I have something I need to ask you too. Can't you just ask me here? No, not here, come with me quickly or else you know what will happen. I quietly followed her and she took me to one of the furthest classrooms in the school. 


Upon arriving at the location some girls with her offered me some drinks but I politely declined them. Hey, Jessica, Cassandra called out my name, I heard that you are friends with Alexander, and do you know that I like him. Why don't you introduce me to him and give me his number since you know I like him, she giggled shyly. Umm, I don't have his number Cassandra, I tried correctly. What! she suddenly raged out on me. Now I know why she was talking to me so politely it was because she thought that Alexander and I friends. You're lying, you just don't want to give me his number don't you! No, why would I lie to you, it's true? 


She suddenly grabbed my hair, BITCH! you think I don't know how you look at him every day with your disgusting eyes. It's been two weeks and you can't wait to put your bewitching magic on the two of them. You're so good at seducing boys, you're nothing but a slut! she said while yanking my hair and pushed me hard which caused me to fall on the floor. I didn't seduce anyone, it's just your wishful thinking, I said angrily. I never protested once while she was bullying me before but now she has gone too far by saying that I seduced Alex. Now you're even starting to talk back, today I'll teach you a good lesson. Cassandra looked nearby and found a big broomstick. She walked towards me with the stick and raised it to hit me while I closed my eyes in terror. I waited for that hard stick to feel on my skin but I didn't feel it.


 I slowly opened my eyes at the sound of the other girls scream. But what meets my eyes and what surprised me most was that I saw Alex standing right in front of me grabbing the stick from Cassandra with which she was about to hit me. This isn't what it looks like, Alex! He threw the stick right past Cassandra's face and she trembled in fear. Alex glanced at me to see if I was hurt or not. OUT! he said in an authoritative tone making the atmosphere in the room extremely cold. Next time I see you near her, you won't be able to live in this city and I'll make sure about that.


I was so surprised by his gesture and the way he saved me from her. It's like one of those fairytales tails where the knight saves his princess. Now I really believed that Alex was my knight in shining armor and that I'm falling in love with him.
