New chapter of her life

Oh, Peace.

That had been the life I led for over a month now. After our wedding night, we stayed in the Grand Duke's residence in the capital for two days. I could vividly remember the tension when I bid my dear Ross family goodbye. Every time I remembered it, I felt like rolling my eyes.

Then, we traveled straight to Esmond — the grand duke's fief. It took us three full weeks traveling by carriage and then by ship. But it was worth it. I felt like I broke free from a chain, escaping a black shadow that was following my trail.

Moreover, the people here were... bearable. They were a bit loud as some of them gossip, like bees just anywhere in the mansion. At least, they didn't bother me and treated me with respect. But if I could be honest, just with the maids did I realize I successfully escaped the Ross estate.
