Ceremony [V]

Everyone found themselves lost in their emotions, including Taros, but even though he felt the same as them, and showed little on his face, his eyes said it all.

After a few minutes, having gone in a daze, Taros had only one thought, 'When she grows up she will be a charming, irresistible, bewitching being.'

'Sigh.'

At that moment, Taros stared at her and a silhouette appeared replacing little Mara, and he only sighed with melancholy, remembering his past, and the good adventures he had by the side of that person, she who was always a graceful person, someone who at least attempts to not hurt others' feelings with clumsy words or thoughtless deeds.

Remembering as she always said, 'To live in grace is to walk lightly and leave the world blessed by your presence.'

Lost in his most precious memories, Taros noticed little Mara was looking at him with a mischievous smile. And he thought he was looking at it wrong, but...

It was the same mischievous smile that that female gave him, a few millennia ago, and as he thought it was his own eyes playing a joke with him, he took his left hand to his eyes and rubbed them, to see if it was an illusion, when he did it and then saw little Mara again, he sighed with relief that the image was only an illusion formed by his longing and memories of that time.

But the one he was seeing was none other than the reincarnation of the said female, so he shouldn't be surprised at what might happen.

'Sigh,' "Little Clan Leader," he called to little Mara, and after a pause and have gotten her attention, he asked, "Are you ready?"

"Yes, I am, go ahead Taros, do what you must," Mara expressed her agreement.

But when he heard her speak, his whole body trembled, and upon seeing her eyes close, he then noticed something that makes his eyes widened as far as they could go, his mouth opened so wide it looked like he would dislocate his jaw, he was so bewildered; he didn't realize how comical his expression looked before the eyes of some of those presents who could wake up from their dazed look.

'Golden, her eyes turned gold?!' Taros screamed in his mind.

There has been only one instance in which there has been a vampire with golden eyes, and that was millennia upon millennia ago, the Supreme Leader who ruled over the entire supernatural world. The one who brought chaos to her enemies and heaven to her allies. The one who wreaked havoc in the human world, but when there was peace, she disappeared, leaving many questions.

"Taros, continue the Ceremony, I want to rest after this..." said little Mara feeling impatient and irritated.

Taros did not know what to do with the impatience displayed by the Little Clan Leader Mara. But he knew not to delay any longer.

After removing the dagger from little Mara's finger, the surrounding aura disappeared, as if it was an illusion, even her mood changed and returned to the innocent and cheerful Mara.

Everyone around sighed with relief as they felt that the pressure and the state, they were in were quickly dissipating. Without paying attention to who they were standing next to, they all turned their gazes towards the door. It was flashing a golden light around it, which made it stand out.

The Destiny Door, is a Black Door, with crimson lines, they said that each line represents a vein of the blood of the Vampires, once the dagger with the new Clan Leader's blood touched it, it marks the beginning of the Ceremony.

When the dagger with the golden tip absorbed the blood strangely, it turned into a deep red, which is the accumulation of the five drops of blood, the more blood the darker the blood will look.

Once the blood finished forming on the dagger, it moved erratically, Taros did not rush, because he knew that is the blood that was affecting the door; and is the same blood of the little girl but with a special power, for having awakened the aura of the cloud in her subconscious and the Guardian, besides the presence he felt when he confronted Evan, also the presence of the soul of that female.

All this has made his blood thicker and more powerful. But that doesn't mean that she had her blood fully awakened, being the Leader, she has 90% of becoming the Supreme Leader that the Vampire Clan has been waiting for, if she can go through the baptism she will have 100% chances to become the TRUE Supreme Leader.

Elder Taros walked towards the door which for some reason gave indications it was excited to receive the blood. And you could tell with the golden light she was emitting it was becoming more sublime, so much so that those present had to close their eyes because the light was too blinding, and hurtful for their eyes.

As Elder Taros approached, he said to Mara, "Little Clan Leader Mara..."

"Yes, Taros? Is something wrong?" she asked with a relaxed expression free from disturbance.

The relaxed expression she showed amazed the elder Taros, even though the light was too blinding and almost no one could see. And curiously he asked her, "Little Clan Leader, don't you feel discomfort when you see the golden light at the door?"

"Oh, that light? Why would I feel discomfort, when the light is quite warm, besides, it's as if the light is calling me, so why would I show or feel that way?" little Mara answered with other questions.

The Elder Taros, didn't know what to think anymore, he feels like she throws his knowledge to the trash can.

'Sigh.'

'My prideful and vast knowledge is useless with her...'

Besides him, only her could feel the excitement of the door. So, she approached to the door with the elder. Action that was questioned by the same.

"Clan Leader Mara, do you know the consequences to approach the door right now?" with eyebrows pulled down together said the Elder.

"Yes, I know.... but the door is calling me, it expresses that I need to go faster to the other side, something is waiting for me..."
