Diary 20: The Mage Debut

As soon as they arrived at Nadhmill City ruins, there's nothing but barren wasteland and ruins. There are barely any vegetations and living animals around the vicinity. The area is as deserted as the rumors said, the land forgotten by the Gods. Min Soo doesn't waste his time and immediately searches for the missing relic.

The chances of finding the relic are slim, but even so, making an effort is better than not making an effort at all. David and Kim Min Soo split up to find the missing relic that Joey wants to find. As expected, despite Nadhmill City not as large as Arachnosia Country; it's hard to find the relic in the ruins. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, and the needle is the relic.

Min Soo carries the photo of Joe's grandfather with him; in that photo, he can see how happy Joey is with his grandfather. His grandfather's fate is unknown, but the man is probably deceased by now thanks to the typhoon. Min Soo is uncertain with the fate of the relic, but there's no harm in putting fate on it.

"I have to be honest with you" David sighs as he approaches Min Soo who is busy digging the corner of every ruin. "I'm not sure we can find the relic, the typhoon hits this City two years ago".

Min Soo widens his eyes as the truth hits him home; the chance of finding the relic has grown thinner and thinner every second. Now that he knows that two years have passed since the incident, his glimmering eyes turn dusty; the lights of hope fades away in a blink of an eye. However, he doesn't want to give up on Joey's quest if it's possible.

The thought of replacing the relic cross his mind just in case he couldn't find the relic; perhaps carving a new relic for replacement. Min Soo bits his lips anxiously as the thought of disappointing the child will doom him. He doesn't want to disappoint the child who waits endlessly for the relic.

Min Soo's hand goes to his hair, he was about to pull a few strands of hair when suddenly David notices his movement. The prince stops his hand from pulling, putting his hand away from his pink hair slowly and gently. He didn't scold him for that, in fact, he just puts his hand away as his eyes still gaze on Min Soo's bronze eyes.

Just when the two gentlemen are puzzled with the quest, their previous troubles return. The demons who chased after them before. Min Soo stands on his guard, the man prepares his grimoire to attack the demons who bear their claws in front of the two gentlemen. Min Soo prepares his grimoire as they face the demons in front of them.

Casting the spells in front of him, the Idol made a water barrier to block their claws attack. As they lunge their claws at the two, Min Soo remains on the defensive even without casting the complete spell. As if, the mage is natural; the spellcaster manages to cover the experience explorer's back.

David in response tries to fend off himself from the demons while protecting the mage from harm. The mage is mostly in charge of defense while David goes offensive with his fiery blade. As the man swings his fiery blade, the man smiles as he sees his fiery swings hit the demon's body.

Burnt within the hellish fire that David aims at the demons, they shriek in pain as the fire burnt their skin to crisp. Min Soo adds more layers of damage by spamming water burst, as the two demons shrieks. They wildly slash their claws toward the frontline, David King who tries his best to defend himself.

Worried about his companion, Min Soo cast a regen spell to heal David's wounds. With the healing water overflowing in his blood veins, David's wounds slowly recovered. However, it doesn't end there.

The demons are trying to get their hand on Min Soo for some reason. They seem to know that Min Soo holds the key to David's regenerative health.

If Min Soo is out of commission, surely David will slowly lose his strength. They're wrong in that area, David is the person who won't go back to his words. He promises himself that he will protect Min Soo out of danger, the man owes Min Soo for his life after all. Even though, Min Soo's arrival was just a pure coincidence.

As the demons lunge toward the defenseless Min Soo, David intervenes as his fiery sword clashes with the demon's sharp claws. The other one goes for Min Soo, David's eyes distracted as he sees Min Soo runs away from the demons. Cold sweat envelops the mage, his bronze eyes filled with fear as the demon is hot on his trail.

The mage defends himself with a water barrier, again without spellcasting from the grimoire itself which is strange. The only thing he thought of while running is to defend himself from being scratched by the claws. The mage is befuddled, his mind is focused on defending himself instead of fighting back.

The claws graze the barrier relentlessly, the blood on the claws remains fresh which means this demon just killed someone or something. Min Soo gulps, knowing that the demon he faces is no ordinary foe.

The demons whose purposes only to kill devastate someone's life or a creature's life. As the mage flips the pages of the grimoire he finds a devastating spell.

"Vines Aquos!" he yells.

In an instant, a vine of water ties the demon's wrist; rendering the hellish creature from moving. After that he shrieks in frustration as the vine binds his body and wrist in absolute force, Min Soo seems to be unaware of the strength of the spell he cast impact the victim's body. Leaving bruises alone on the skin of the demon before him.

Due to the heat of David's previous fiery sword; a few of their skins were damaged and the water only made it worse. Min Soo is certain that he can bind the hellish force before him, but binding it doesn't mean it will stay calm.

The mage knows that he has to kill him sooner or later, he flips the pages rushingly; scared of releasing the hellish creature by accident. Min Soo then finds a perfect spell to put an end to the demon before him; a slow death that will surely suffocate its lung
