7. About Love

"Happy birthday, princess." Avery said with a curtsey.

Ariadne smiled and her face so full of joy. "Thank you, prince Avery. It's an honor for you to come to my party."

"Of course I'll come. Sorry to keep you waiting."

"It's okay, is the trip okay? Why is it late?" Asked Ariadne, who now feels very agitated.

Avery chuckled softly. "On the road there's a small obstacle, princess."

"Ah, what's that?"

"My horse is thirsty." Avery answered with a chuckle.

"I thought what. You scared me." Said Ariadne.

"It's a present from me, princess. Open it when the show's over tonight."

"Why can't I open it now?" Asked Ariadne.

"You better open it later."

"All right, prince, I'll do as you say. Thanks for bringing me a present."

"You're welcome, princess. I hope you like it."

"Oh, you're making me even more curious." Said Ariadne gaily at the gift she had received. The present from Avery box size is pretty big. I don't know what's inside.

Swiftly grabbed the box from Avery directly for safekeeping.

"Dance with me..." took Avery and the man held out his right hand.

Ariadne was a little hesitant to take Avery's hand. But the girl finally took Avery's hand in her hand. "All right." Said Ariadne.

While Darian's two hands were carrying the cake and the drinks were hard. The man didn't seem too happy to see Ariadne close to Avery.

The crowd at the invitees and the people at the palace split open as Ariadne and Avery made their way to the middle of the wide floor. The music is playing. Avery began to move flittly by circling her body and then hugging the girl's waist.

They both danced with such exquisite, dazzling gestures. Ariadne isa bit nervous, but she is able to control her nervousness. Up close, Avery's very handsome.

Avery's blue eyes drug Ariadne's. They both looked very deeply.

"Enough. I want to dance quietly." Politely asked Ariadne.

Avery nodded. Stopping the dance moves moves Ariadne to exhaustion. They dance with normal movements. Ariadne's hands rested on Avery's neck. While Avery's hands clasped Ariadne's waist.

All the pairs of eyes that saw them dancing erupted in amazement. As if looking at a couple that actually looks very suitable. Avery handsome and Ariadne beautiful. Everybody knows that.

"Your scent smells so good." Praise Avery by living the scent of Ariadne's skin on the neck.

Ariadne feels they both look very intimate. She wanted to get a little distance, but was detained by Avery's hand still clutching her waist.

Avery said. "Let it be like this. Let everyone know we're this close."

"But I'm not used to this close."

"Ssstttt... Keep dancing with me like this, princess."

"You know Avery? I managed to run a good job until I was seventeen."

"Uhum.." Avery muttered.

"I want to be a better princess."

"Why stay a princess when you can be a queen?"

Ariadne looked at Avery. "What? The queen? When I am queen, I must have a king."

"There I am."

"What do you mean?"

"I want to marry you. United our kingdom. I am the king and you are the queen."

Ariadne smiled. "I still have much to take care of, prince. I don't want to get married too soon."

"And I'll wait until it's ready."

"Do you love me?"

"Yes, I love you." Avery said.

"Why are you talking now? You never declared your love for me."

Avery chuckled. "Do love have to be expressed in a sentence? Wasn't it enough for me to come here twice a week a long time?"

"I'm not sure."

"Unsure of what?"

Ariadne had once lowered her head, now daring to look Avery in the face by looking up. "I'm not sure you love me."

"Why?"

"Because you weren't there in my time of grief and distress."

Ariadne's answers made Avery's teeth clatter. Avery's liver got a little cut. Was he just jilted?

"You never said, princess. I don't know when you need me." Said Avery.

"You should try to find out. Not for me to tell."

Avery froze. Both feet still lead the dance. While Ariadne's head now rests comfortably upon the breast of his field.

"I will learn again to love you well, princess."

"No need to learn. Just prove that you really love me."

"Yes, I will."

***

Birthday parties end at twelve o 'clock at night. All important residents and guests have retired. The palace hall was suddenly deserted. Only the servants were busy cleaning up all the leftover food and silverware.

Avery and Ariadne were on those long lawn chairs. Ariadne's body lay with Avery's right hand holding her back. Avery's body was on top of Ariadne's. They look at each other and talk romantic thoughts.

The park in this hour is very dark. There is no light other than the moonlight. Avery's lips kissed Ariadne's lips slowly. No resistance from Ariadne. Ariadne's first kiss was taken by Avery.

Ariadne's right hand stroked Avery's cheek gently. Their fangs are deep and intoxicating. Accompanied by the evening breeze that makes them even warmer.

"If Elie finds out, I'll definitely be scolded." Said Ariadne as their kiss ended. Her pink lips got a little swollen. Caused by the crack from Avery's lips.

"No one has a right to scold you, princess."

"Why did you kiss me?" Asked Ariadne.

"Because I love you."

"Does kissing prove that love is real?"

"Not completely. Except for lovers."

"But we're not a couple, Avery."

"Call me your beloved, Ariadne. Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Asked Avery by gazing softly at Ariadne's face.

"Should I say yes?"

"No, but that's the answer I expect from your lips."

"Then I want to be your girlfriend. Should we get married quickly?"

Avery chuckled. "There's no rush if it makes you think hard. I will wait until you are ready to marry me."

"Okay. Come again tomorrow. I'll be waiting for you at the waterfall bridge." Said Ariadne.

"I can't."

"Why?"

"Darian must be around you. I think Darian is annoying. Can't you replace Darian with a new bodyguard?"

Ariadne gave Avery a brief kiss. "Will be safe. Darian won't be anywhere near me tomorrow. He watches the diamond mine all day. And Elie was also busy organizing the servants in the kitchen and the palace cleanliness. So will you come to the bridge?"

"Of course you wish, princess." Avery blurted sincerely.

And their kisses happened again. They sip their lips from each other. And the Elie voice crying for Ariadne's whereabouts instantly separated the two of them from each other. The cold night breeze instantly felt the sensation of Ariadne's skin.

Avery took off his suit and put it on Ariadne's back. "See you tomorrow, goodbye." Her and Avery walked away.

While elie took to her breast when she found Ariadne motionless in a park seat. Ariadne's hair was quite messy and her crown tilted. "Can't you please not steal some time alone with prince Avery? What if someone sees you?" Elie asked with a feeling of resentment.
