52. An Offer From Ariadne

Ariadne returned to the palace around two o'clock. The palace at two o 'clock is rather quiet. Many of the attendants and bodyguards take time to take turns resting and eating.

Now Ariadne is in her chambers. The girl was sitting on the edge of the bed. She had just finished drinking a glass of water on the bedside table.

After an Darian walk, Ariadne's mind is much more fresh. She also smiled easily and was in a better mood.

Avery's still in the quarry, of course. Perhaps the man will return to the palace around noon or closer to dinner.

Honestly, Ariadne was thrilled when no Avery was in the palace. The girl felt free and could do a lot of things without having to feel watched by Avery.

Ariadne remembered little by those words Darian at the apple orchard. They talk about destiny.

Ariadne remembers, Darian said that her marriage to Avery was a destiny. Thinking about it, it's unlikely Ariadne will be able to like Avery.
