Chapter 10 I Just Want to Find My Husband

Luo Mengmeng's tiny hands never stopped smacking the kidnapper's head, and she viciously bit at the villain with her newly grown baby teeth. However, her strength was no more threatening than a tickle, posing no threat to the man.

Furthermore, the alley was deserted at that moment and her cries for help couldn't escape.

"Shut up, you brat!" The kidnapper, seeing her constant noise and fearing she would attract attention, immediately reached out to cover her mouth and then quickly headed towards the tricycle across the street.

"Mmm... mmm..." Luo Mengmeng, her mouth covered, could only emit a muffled and despairing sob. Tears welled in her eyes, which stared desperately at the alley leading home and were gradually disappearing from view, sinking her heart into an abyss.

Although the young Mengmeng didn't understand why this man wanted to take her away, or where he intended to take her, she had a strong premonition that once she was taken, she would likely never see her husband Gu Zhihan, her parents, or Uncle Gu and Aunt Gu again...

"Let her go!"

Just as Luo Mengmeng was in despair, Gu Zhihan, with his schoolbag on his back, finally arrived, panting.

"Hubby, waah... wuwuwu..." Upon seeing him, Mengmeng found the strength from somewhere to push away the kidnapper's hand from her mouth, and called out to him hoarsely, with tears streaming down her face, sobbing uncontrollably.

A sharp pain shot through Gu Zhihan's heart for no apparent reason, and with clenched fists and reddened eyes, he glared at the kidnapper, "I told you to let her go!"

This time, his voice had a harshness that belied his age, chilling to the listener.

"You little brat, you think I'll let her go just because you told me to?" The kidnapper not only refused to release Mengmeng but also approached Gu Zhihan with a cold sneer.

Tsk tsk, it seemed like luck was on his side today; he usually couldn't abduct a child for half a year, and now two appeared in one day.

"Then don't blame me for not being polite."

Having said that, it was unclear when Gu Zhihan's hand came to hold a handful of sand, which he tossed unexpectedly in the kidnapper's face.

As he threw it, he shouted at Mengmeng, "Idiot, close your eyes."

"???"

Although Mengmeng's mind was filled with question marks, she instinctively closed her big eyes.

Swish—

Most of the sand went into the kidnapper's eyes, with just a few grains hitting Mengmeng's cheek.

"Ouch!!" The kidnapper's eyes stung from the sand, and he howled in pain, instinctively dropping Mengmeng from his shoulder and rubbing at his sandy eyes.

"Run fast!"

Taking advantage of the moment, Gu Zhihan quickly grabbed Mengmeng's little hand, pulled her from the kidnapper's grasp, and ran toward the crowded main street.

The boy's hand was hot and sweaty, his palm filled with beads of perspiration, gripping the girl's plump little hand firmly.

Somehow, seeing this, Mengmeng's heart, which had been filled with fear and unease, strangely calmed down in an instant, and she began to run quickly alongside him.

"Damn little brats!" The kidnapper, enraged at having been outmaneuvered by a three-year-old child, chased after the two toddlers, his anger flaring like a mad dog.

"Hubby, who is he, and why does he want to catch us?" Seeing that the bad uncle was relentlessly pursuing them, Mengmeng asked with her young, tearful voice echoing a thick sob, her pale face streaked with tear marks and her eyes flashing with terror.
