Memory Lane 3...!

'Was she being serious...?' The King asked himself.

"Did you know what you were saying back then?" The King suddenly asked.

Looking up at her husband, the Queen frowned and asked;

"Back when?"

"When you said that Andrew had stopped breathing...?"

The Queen stopped what she was doing and stood up.

Looking at thee husband, the King, in all his majesty, the Queen raised her head up proudly, but not too proudly as she smiled and said;

"I meant what I said when I said he wasn't breathing...!"

"Or, don't you trust my judgement...?" She asked as she tilted her head, the smile, suddenly disappeared.

The King that had been looking at her keenly to understand what she meant now said;

"No, no, no...I trust your judgement, but...!" He hesitated.

"How were you so sure that he wasn't breathing?" The King asked again as if he didn't believe.

The Queen then smiled again, her smile broader than that of the last one.

"I should have asked you to come place your hand on his chest to feel the speed at which his heart raced, as if he had just finished a hundred meter race and was still panting...!" The Queen snapped.

"Then and only then would you believe me...!" The Queen finished speaking and then turned away and walked towards Andrew and squatted back down.

The King smiled.

She placed the back of her palm in Andrew's forehead to feel his temperature again.

After making sure that his temperature was okay, she sighed and stood up.

The King wasn't surprised at his wife behavior, because one time, she can be so sweet, the next, she can be so terrifying.

That was why he married her in the first place to help him make decisions and give him advice on while ruling the Kingdom.

And it really helped...

He had indeed found his helpmeet...

But when it came to when she had said that Andrew was not breathing...

He find it a little bit hard to believe...

Not that he did not believe, but he...he didn't know what to say...

His wife had been a nurse after all...

And knowing her pretty well, he knew that she was smart enough to reduce the fact about what was happening presently...and he was right...

Because, when she was through checking Andrew's body temperature and making sure everything was okay, she stood up and walked to her drawer and spoke as she removed some powdered medicines from inside...

With a glass of water in her hand, she said;

"Andrew, you cam stop acting now, you're okay and you know it...!"

Andrew heard his Mother's sharp voice from behind him as he acted stiff.

Blinking twice, Andrew came back to his senses.

"Yes Mother...!" Andrew responded as he lowered his head.

But then he raised his head up again as setting caught his attention. It was his Father's look...

His Father that had been smiling while looking at his Mother's back, now frowned.

His smile dropped...

How did his wife know that Andrew was playing tricks...?

The King thought as he frowned.

Not only was was wife the most beautiful woman in the Kingdom and that he had ever met, his wife was extremely smart.

She happened to guess things and they always happen to be true.

However, poor little Andrew couldn't understand his Father's change of expression as he had been smiling, then shortly, he smiled, and then later on again, his facial expression lit up, causing Andrew to get drowned in confusion as he stared at his Father.

Then out of nowhere, he heard his Mother's voice, saying;

"Andrew, quit looking at your Father...I've told you countless times, it's a bad habit...!" His Mother scolded him.

Immediately, Andrew lowered his head without a second thought.

At first, his Mother's voice startled him, causing him not think well at first...

Once his Mother called his name, he blinked twice as he looked left and right, before lowering his head down.

The King was also stunned...

How did his wife know that without even turning to look back.

How incredible...!

With his brows raised, the King asked;

"H...Hadassah...h...how d...did...how did you know that without even turning to look back at him...?" He couldn't help but stammered as he asked that question.

Though still mixing the medicines together in the water, she turned to face her husband, still stirring the mixture in the cup.

Without looking up, she said;

"Once you're acquainted with a couple of children right from birth, as they grow, you'll understand their attitudes and know what will happen before they even do it...!" She said as she know looked up at her husband.

After five (5) seconds, she added;

"Besides, being a nurse is not a small task now, is it?" She asked.

The King was too focused on her face that he couldn't give an answer.

Hitting the spoon on the cup, and then smiled, she walked towards Andrew and said;

"Alright, open up...!" She ordered.

Andrew was reluctant as he contorted his face in a disgusted manner as he shook his head vigourously in negation.

Smiling, his mother said;

"If you don't drink what will make you healthy, how would you grow up strong to lead responsibly...?" She asked.

Andrew still refused as  he pouted and crossed his arms across his chest.

Then his mother lowered her hand a bit and said;

"If you don't drink healthy, you wouldn't be able to develop strongly and have a great body build to attract that girl...?" She asked again.

'So that's why he's here...?' He King thought as he smiled.

The King ow understood why his son was in his chamber without his permission.

At the mention of this, Andrew seemed to have reasoned this with his mother, because, his shoulder that were held high, now dropped...

And his face that was faced in the opposite direction from his Mother's, now slowly turned.

Turning to look at his Mother with a look of hope on his face, he asked;

"Really...?" He asked hopefully.

Nodding, his Mother caressed his face and answered;

"Of course Andrew...don't you believe Mama?" She asked.

Jolting up from the bed, Andrew swiftly turned to look at his Mother as he said;

"Of course I do believe you Mother...!"

"Then if you believe in Mama, take this, and I promise you, you won't regret it...!" His Mother cut in to say.

"You'd be the best leader that ever ruled this Kingdom...greater than your Father even...!"

His mother added as she chuckled when she thought of how the King would look like when he heard this.

"Hadassah...!" The King called.

The Queen couldn't contain the laughter anymore and just burst out laughing.

Turning to look at her husband, the King said;

"T...T...This...This isn't funny...!" The King said as he chuckled a bit.
