The Lick

Jack lowers himself, bending and leaning close to Nitte's stomach, where the arrow is still located.  To his own surprise, his body seems to decide for him what to do next--- he starts licking Nitte's wound.  He doesn't know why he is doing that.  There is just a strong instinct telling him, if he licks her, she will feel better. 

He licks around the arrow.  After almost a minute, he stops to check Nitte's reaction.

Nitte's eyes are still closed.  And Jack doesn't know if what he just did was useful in any way.

The ghosts in Robert's head have observed the situation.  Tao secretly informs Robert, "Your friend Jack just licked Nitte's wound.  At first, I thought that was odd.  But now, I think, that might actually work."

Shou agrees, "Yeah, there is something about it that will help.  I am not good at explaining it but it is some kind of science.  Not even magic."
