Yuina had the time of her life.
The restaurant where they dined was owned by a close friend of Ryuu so they didn't have to worry about privacy. After the waiter served all the food, no one was allowed to enter their private room at his owner friend's order.
Ryuu didn't have to put up with his cap, mask and glasses while having dinner.
They chatted and acted as how they did in their home. It made Yuina felt so close to him.
Even though she was just strolling around the park after dinner, hand-in-hand with her husband, it had already given her the utmost satisfaction.
The riverside park was so beautiful at night. The lights lit up the flowering trees of cherry blossoms. People were having fun either playing or singing under the fluttering petals. They were also the ones who riding boats.
"This is so beautiful," Yuina tilted up her face after pulling down the mask until it hung below her chin, looking at the pink cherry blossoms, "Hehe, what if we recreated this scene for our wedding? It would look so majestic and fairytale!"
Ever since Ryuu mentioned holding a wedding, Yuina was giddy with anticipation. Countless ideas and concepts came to her mind.
Before, she didn't dare to dream of having one but, because Ryuu looked so adamant, she let her imagination ran wild.
Ryuu smiled happily behind the mask that concealed the lower half of his face. His eyes bent into crescents as he was affected by her jovial mood.
"No matter what kind of a wedding do you want, I'll realize it for you. A garden wedding, on the island, the mountain or underwater one...," Then, his face changed as if he was hesitating over something.
"What? Do you want to back away now?" Yuina wiggled her brows. Mischief danced in her eyes.
Ryuu dumbly replied, "Unless, it's a wedding in the stars, sweetheart. I couldn't do that. Except if we recruit a special effects team for it. Only then it would be possible."
Yuina burst into laughter. Ignoring the fact that they were in public, she pounced on him.
"Honey~ I really, really want to see you in a groom's suit! You'd be the most handsome groom ever!"
Yuina rubbed her head on his chest. Her smile turned brighter and brighter.
She had seen him in tailor-made suits countless times, either when he was acting or during the award ceremonies but, Yuina thought it would be a pleasant experience all over again if she could witness the scene of him standing on the altar at the end of the aisle.
She would don a beautiful white wedding dress, hold a bouquet in her hands and walk down the aisle until she reached him.
"Silly, of course, I'd be the most handsome groom," Ryuu shamelessly admitted to her claims, "Didn't your husband has won so many awards for my face and body alone? And, you'd be the most enchanting bride."
"Erghh..." Yuina made a face, "Do you mean those narcissistic awards that you got because of your fans' votes?"
Ryuu felt both angry and funny at her remarks. Thus, he flicked on his wife's forehead twice.
The husband and wife continued walking alongside the river.
All of the visitors were busy focusing on themselves. They didn't even realize the man who disguised himself with a cap, a face mask and thick-rimmed glasses was the film emperor that had just dominated the silver screens again with his comeback film.
Yuina didn't find any fault in her husband's disguise. That was why she was at ease.
Soon, something caught her attention.
"Ah, what's that?" Her interest was piqued by hearing merriment that focused on one area not far from where they stood.
"It seems like they are playing games," Ryuu used his tall body as an advantage to get a better point of view.
As they walked closer, the husband and wife found that someone opened a dance booth. The liveliness resulted from the blasting music as well as the cheers that came from the crowd.
A few people danced on the elevated stage while the others were shouting words of encouragement as well as clapping vigorously. A young man in flashy attire led the dance.
It seemed like, whoever could follow the lead dancer of the game master could win the prizes that were arranged on a shelf inside the booth.
"It looks fun. Ah, the teddy bear looks so soft and fluffy," Yuina inadvertently murmured. She was attracted to the human-sized teddy bear that was placed at the center of the shelf.
"Let's go," Ryuu tugged her hand, "I'll win the big teddy bear for you."
As his eyes followed her gaze, he tacitly understood that his wife admired the big plushie.
Yuina froze. She quickly pulled him once Ryuu made a move to go to the booth.
"No! No! Let's not play that," Yuina hurriedly objected.
"Eh? Why?" Ryuu was dumbfounded, "It's easy. You know that I can dance well."
"I know, but..." Yuina hesitated. She looked at the crowd. Once again, she rejected, "I don't want it. Let's just have a stroll, okay?"
Ryuu couldn't say anything when his wife was firmly pulling him from walking to the booth.
Yuina quickened her steps so Ryuu had to as well.
Once they were quite far from the booth, Ryuu asked her in a low voice, "Did you refuse because you think I might give myself away?"
Yuina stiffened. She unconsciously paused her steps. With a heavy heart, she nodded.
"You have really put on a good disguise, but, what if someone from the crowd realized who you are? We can't take the risk," She calmly explained her reasons.
It was acceptable if they just have a quiet walk but, he would definitely attract people's attention if he indeed joined the dancing game.
There were smartphones everywhere. Even though he wasn't exposed this time, if the photos or the videos were shared by the crowd on their social media accounts, the eagle-eyed fans might point him out as Ishizaki Ryuu.
Yuina didn't dare to think what would impact her husband if a dating scandal broke.
"I'm sorry," Ryuu understood the reasons were plausible but he still felt bad for her. His heart sank as he quietly muttered, "If I'm not... who I am now, you could experience more with me like a normal couple."
This was not the first occasion.
Once, during the rare time when he was at home for a short break, Ryuu saw Yuina was intently looking at the pamphlet for a hot spring. When he said they could go there, she quickly refused, saying it was better if they just used the jacuzzi at home.
He said he could make the arrangement just so no one would notice them but Yuina vehemently rejected it.
At that time, he made a cameo in an international film. Even though it was brief, he gained more and more international fans who got hooked by his acting and charm.
She said, there were more eyes on him. She was content already by having him spending his free time with her, no matter where they were.
Until now, the small episode left a bitter taste in his heart because Ryuu understood Yuina pushed her own interest because of him.
"Don't be silly," Yuina quickly masked her feelings with a bright smile, "If you're not who you currently are, do you think I would marry you?"
Ryuu understood she was just trying to cheer him up but it made him felt more uncomfortable.
Time and again, this matter occurred.
But, to avoid wasting her efforts no matter how small or big, he conceded.
Ryuu grasped her hand tightly.
"I'll proudly announce your presence to the world."
His voice was firm, laced with the utmost resolve.
Yuina felt her heart melted into a puddle. Her smile softened. Adoration twinkled in her eyes as she quietly looked at the man who had her heart.
It seemed like she fell in love all over again with him.
"Okay," She grinned, "After we hold the wedding, I wouldn't say no even if you want to join all dance games while we're out together. The paparazzi and your fans could photograph us together, okay?"
Ryuu broke into a silly smile, "But, I want to play games with you. Let's go?"
"En?" Yuina was confused but she still followed him.
They ran to the car park with Ryuu leading. Their hands were linked together as he refused to loosen his hold on her hand.
At this moment, he looked so carefree, away from any worries.
A thought crossed her mind at the moment her eyes landed on the back of his head.
This was the man she married, the one she wanted to spend a lifetime with. She had never regretted accepting his proposal.
Yuina earnestly hoped for their happy days to always follow them until the end of the time.
No matter how large the gap between a film emperor and an elementary school teacher appeared to outsiders, they belonged to one another.
