Sweetheart~ It Means I Would Have More Time with You

Before she went to work the next morning, Yuina's attention was focused on her husband as he was talking on the phone with his manager. Yousuke called him while the husband and wife were having breakfast.

Today, Ryuu was the one who prepared the food instead of her. He went all out on his 'Lovey-dovey Breakfast for My Beloved Wife' plan.

Currently, Yuina was munching on the carrot that was cut into a heart-shaped. In front of her, there was an array of breakfast that was served inside heart-shaped pink bowls and plates.

"...no response from the organizer? Heh, let them handle the mess... Okay, I'll upload a statement for it... Yeah, yeah, enough. If he wants to bring forward the shoot, just do it. You're interrupting my breakfast time with my wife. Gotta go."

Click.

Ryuu hung up, not caring about the frustration Yousuke had to endure for his actions.

"It seems like you have a problem," Yuina pointed out, "What's wrong?"

Ryuu grinned. He supported his chin with both of his hands.

"I have two news, one is good and one is bad. Which one do you want to hear first?"

Yuina rolled her eyes, "Just pick which one you want to tell me first."

"En, actually the bad news is good to me as well," Ryuu lazily stretched out his waist.

Yuina shot him a questioning look.

Why did the bad news would be a good one to him?

"The organizer for the global tour is under scrutiny. A scandal broke yesterday, the upper management is accused of bribing officials with underage girls to get their side of bargains. Thus, Yousuke said it'd backfire to us if we proceed with the tour."

Yuina hummed in understanding.

A bribery using sexual favors case that involved minors would undoubtedly be a great scandal.

Ishizaki Ryuu's name would be tarnished if he went on with the global tour while the scandal was still highly publicized. It would seem like he was supporting the organizing company.

If he canceled his appearance due to this case, even though his fans would be greatly disappointed because of it, the anger would be directed to the company. At the same time, the fans would praise him for not working with such a corrupted company.

"But, why does this become good news? You can't go and meet your fans," Yuina still couldn't understand what her husband meant.

"Sweetheart~" Ryuu deliberately called her with a sickeningly sweet voice, "It means I would have more time with you. Aren't you happy that your cuddly handsome bear would stay longer with you?"

Yuina narrowed her eyes. She stuck up her tongue to him.

"Rather than that, I should worry about getting to work on time."

Yuina finished her green tea after cleaning up the plate.

Although Ryuu rarely cooked, his cooking was still edible.

"Hey! Aren't you going to hear the second news?" Ryuu shouted as he saw his wife rushing to the door, "You don't even kiss me goodbye!"

Yuina turned around, ran back to him and dropped a kiss on his lips, leaving Ryuu satisfied.

As she sensed a hand was being naughty on her waist, she quickly pinched him.

Yuina curled up her lips into a mischievous smile, "You can tell me later, darling~ Be good while you're staying at home. Ah, while you're cleaning the house, don't forget to trim the plants at the balcony. Bye-bye!"

Yuina didn't give him an opportunity to react as she slipped out from the door, leaving her husband alone inside the house.

"Yuina!"

"Hehehe," Yuina laughed as she vaguely heard him shouting for her.

As she looked at the bright sky, her mood soared up and turned brighter as well.

Ryuu would be at home longer! She planned to make sakura mochi this weekend and had a picnic on the rooftop with him.

"Ah~ I feel so good right now," Yuina lifted up both of her hands and stretched out her limbs. Her steps were springy as she headed to the basement parking lot.

At school, nothing much happened.

Yuina heard about the fight that occurred between students from Class 3-2 and Class 3-3 yesterday. It created a sensation because one of the student's fathers was one of the top influential figures in this school.

Yuina knew Teacher Kato was the homeroom teacher for Class 3-3. Fortunately, the big shot father openly admitted to his son's mistakes without trying to place the blame on another student.

"I've finalized the date with the management of Hiraya Falls. A camping trip before the summer break, I hope the students could learn more about the environment while having fun."

At this time, Yuina was with Himari to observe their progress for the camping trip at the waterfall. They had to quickly conclude it so the trip won't overlap with the coming sports festival, home visitation and examination periods.

Only the fourth graders and above that would be involved in the examinations while the students in the first until third grade only had small tests.

The sports festival would follow after the first examination, still in spring while the camping trip of the third graders would commence in the early summer. As for the other grades, they depended on their teachers' arrangement.

"We'll submit the last report to the headteacher and begin to draft the invitation letters to the parents," Yuina didn't have much to say since she was already satisfied with the work progress of the young English teacher, "From our surveys, it seems like most parents are more than happy to join their children for this camping trip, even though I suspect they would be mostly mothers."

Usually, the field or camping trips won't involve family members but, for this year, the school principal wanted the parents or guardians to be more involved with their children's activity.

A camping trip was a good start for his new vision.

"Ah, I can't believe it didn't take us long to complete this proposal," Himari let out a contented sigh, "It'd save us a lot of hassle because we can begin preparing early."

"We have to thank the fact that we're only responsible for the third graders," Yuina laughed in amusement, "I heard the fifth and sixth graders' teachers are busy because the students want to go on a trip out of the city."

Himari thought back to what she heard from the teachers around her.

Apparently, the problem was not related to the trip out of the city but, it was due to a group of parents who argued with the teachers regarding the places where they would visit.

The students supposed to visit a cultural museum, a conservatory and join a program at a nursery home.

The parents said their children were too precious to waste their time following an itinerary that should suit a first grader. Moreover, they didn't agree with the visit to the nursery home.

One of the parents even claimed the elderlies were all dirty and shouldn't be in contact with their children.

Although the headteacher and school principal were angry because of how uncouth the parents' manners were, they didn't have a choice but to rearrange the whole trip.

Himari couldn't help but ponder about the ruckus. She couldn't understand why did such parents, or humans existed in this world.

"I feel sorry for them but, it's better to cancel the original plan before the problem escalates," Himari sighed heavily.

"We would meet different types of people, especially in a place that reek with money," Yuina didn't conceal her words as she directly showed her disgusts, "This kind of problem rarely happens here but, once it occurs, we'd just get a headache to deal with this kind of obnoxious parents."

Yuina had been teaching in this school for years. She had encountered snobbish parents and students before.

"Thank goodness we still have reasonable parents and guardians," Himari still remembered how surprised she was when President Kasai didn't shield his own son from the latter's misbehavior.

The two teachers tidied up their items. They met after school hours so, it was already late by now. Most teachers and students had already returned home.

While Himari was putting her books inside the beg, she suddenly was reminded of something.

"En, Teacher Masuda, I think I saw you last night at Kaiyo River Park," Himari cautiously looked at Yuina, "Was that really you?"

Yuina stiffened. A look of horror flashed in her eyes. It went by so fast until Himari couldn't detect it because Yuina quickly smiled calmly at her.

"Oh, yes, that's me," Yuina chuckled, "I have dinner there before walking around the park."

"I saw a man with you. Was that your husband?

Himari was elated. It was true that she didn't mistake her for someone else!

"...Yes," Yuina nodded, "My husband often works abroad so it's rare for us to spend time together. So, he brought me there."

"Wow~ You looked so happy last night," Himari clapped her hands once, "Good for you."

"Hehe, yes," Yuina openly admitted to it. Her eyes shined with joy, "And, it seems like he would be in the country for a long time before he has to travel again."

It was alright.

It looked like Teacher Kato really didn't notice who the man was.

Yuina was really looking forward to the day she could proudly announce the identity of her husband.

But, for now, she could only be content with this.
