The goddess brought the chalice filled with clear liquid to her lips and took a sip. "Well, this is my domain."

"Your domain?"

"Tsk tsk." She shook a finger at Lexine. "Your one question is up. If you ask another right now, I won't allow you to ask another in the next round."

Lexine crossed her hands over each other and sighed, "Whatever. Your turn to ask a question."

"Ah, yes. Why do you continue your life even though you very well know it is meaningless?" Although the woman was wearing a veil covering the top half of her face, Lexine still noticed that her eyes glowed after she asked this question. The blue color, which matched almost everything else in the vicinity, unnerved Lexine.

She brought her hands up to rub her bare forearms.
