Mana Affinity Acquired!

Meanwhile, inside the water spirit temple.

The pain that Mirage felt slowly subsided, he now felt much better.

He received a notification after the talent tree finished its timer.

[ Congratulations! You have received and successfully assimilated with the talent < Mana Affinity I >. ]

He could see an additional note below the notification.

( Additional Note: The game system would not display any information regarding talents. The effect and information of talent should be learned and explored by the players themselves! )

He thoughtfully closed the game panel and went on to further examine the changes on him.

He focused his mind and carefully felt the things around him.

Not long later, he slowly felt something bouncing around him, he obviously had his eyes closed and yet he could somehow see it even with his eyes closed.

The thing that was bouncing around him was a wisp of blue smoke, he subconsciously touched it with his mind and instantly felt rejuvenated, he almost moaned due to the comfortable feeling it gave to him.

He was suffering in pain earlier but now he suddenly felt comfortable feeling washing over his body.

He woke up from his stupor and found out that the blue smoke that he touched was gone.

He again focused his mind and carefully felt around and not long later he found three of those blue smoke.

This time he did not touch them and instead tried to communicate with them.

He tried and failed many times until he finally succeeded in establishing communication with one of the blue wisps.

He received its thoughts inside his head and it had an extremely simple way of thinking.

It said that it was happy around him.

He was speechless and tried to command it to follow his directions.

It did follow his will albeit clumsily if he says left it would go right then finally go left if he says to not move then it would move for a bit before stopping.

'It seems that I don't have high control of them yet.' he silently thought for a bit and terminated his communication.

He touched all of the blue wisps and he felt slightly refreshed by three times, they each disappeared into thin air after he touched them.

He experimented a few more times and came to a conclusion.

The first conclusion was that he could only feel limited amounts of mana energy, he could feel at most 10 wisps of them, he had no idea if this amount would increase as time passed by but he would take it slowly for now.

While the second conclusion was that he could manipulate the mana to a certain extent but he was not able to give them extremely complicated commands or they would break out of his control.

The third conclusion was something that he had no way of confirming at the moment, but he still strongly thought that touching the wisps of mana energy should result in the recovery of mana, as for the specific amount.. he could not come up with anything as he did not even have a single skill in his skill repertoire.

Now that he thought about skill, he felt that he should immediately go back to his [ Player Shop ].

He looked at the timer below it and saw that he only had half an hour left.

His Class Inspiration buff had already ended without him knowing, it seems that earlier he was too absorbed in exploring the effects of his newly acquired talent that he had unconsciously ignored everything around him.

He clicked the [ Player Shop ] button and his consciousness had immediately appeared inside the golden tower's skill library.

While Mirage was experimenting with his [ Mana Affinity ] earlier, the other two people in the hall felt differing feelings.

The other felt tumultuous anger and confusion while the other felt complex emotions.

Aaron was just gloating at Mirage's misfortune earlier and yet Mirage had recovered so fast like that of an undying species, it was extremely shocking.

He still thought that Mirage had suffered backlashes so he asked himself in shock.

'How could he recover from his heavy injuries this fast?! Did Undine help him again?!'

He thought of that possibility but immediately shook his head in denial, he had obviously seen Undine walking out of the hall with his own two eyes so how could she possibly help Mirage?

He deeply thought about this his black eyes were flickering with uncertainty.

'It shouldn't be possible for him to recover this fast if he had indeed failed his class change... He should've either died or pass out due to the backlash..'

He looked at Mirage who sat in cross legs with his eyes tightly closed, he was still bathed in the Invulnerability Glow.

He was like a merciful deity that had his eyes closed while subconsciously leaking his holy aura around him, he looked extremely solemn and sacred.

Aaron's eyes widened and shouted in his mind.

'Not good! He did not fail his change class at all! If he did, the glow should've dissipated long ago!'

Then he mused of the painful scream that Mirage had shouted earlier.

'If he did not fail, why did he suddenly screamed like that? There is something fishy going on around him! I wonder how the reinforcements were doing? I should contact them and ask for news..'

He slowly sneaked out of the hall, Qianna saw this but did not stop him and just stood to guard Mirage silently.

She was tasked by Undine to protect her benefactor, after all, he had also protected her from Aaron's assassination so she felt the responsibility to protect him this time.

She walked towards him and silently stood by his side while thinking to herself of what had happened to the unknown youth before her earlier.

She was closely observing him all this time, be it from him using a card to change class until his sudden changes.

As a Hydromancer, it was natural for her to possess high sensitivity towards the energy flow around her and when Mirage had screamed earlier she clearly saw his shocking changes with her own two eyes.

While he was suffering in agony, the previously distant and snob mana energy near him had suddenly taken the initiative to come close to Mirage.

She was extremely shocked, she could not believe her own eyes and felt that what had happened was too surreal and felt like a dream.

Earlier, when Mirage had chosen to become a spell caster she thought that he was too reckless in his choices, it was obvious that he had no talent in spell casting and yet he still willfully chose to become a spell caster.

Not like he could blame him though as it seems to her that he was forced by circumstances, he was interrupted by Aaron after all so maybe he too was unwilling to become a spell caster...

She did not know that Mirage felt elated and happy instead, but this wasn't important.

The important and strange part was that he had suddenly gained the recognition of the mana energy, what does this mean?

It only means that he a talentless person had become a talented person all of a sudden.

This was too illogical for her to the point that her head hurt thus she had no choice but to reluctantly throw this strange matter to the back of her had.

Even though she had not seen the contents of the golden cards she still knew that he had chosen to become a spell caster just based on the fact that the primitive energy within him displayed sudden changes.

Mages are born with natural sensitivity towards their surroundings and sensing primitive energies within a person's body is just one of them.

Mage's could use their sensitivity to assess a person's class orientation, they would be able to feel the type of dormant energy within them.

A devout, for example, would have dormant divine energy within them that's waiting to be used by the priest him/herself.

How could she possibly miss Mirage's change class and not know of what class he chose when it had naturally induced the shifting of dormant energy?

The surging dormant mana energy was extremely obvious in front of her eyes.

She thought that she should just kill herself in shame instead if she had really missed that apparent detail.

Being a 2nd advancement spell caster yet not having the sensitivity to sense these basic changes that he exhibited, how shameful was that?

It's fortunate that she wasn't like that, but even if she were, she could not even kill herself with hopelessness so how could a mere shame possibly kill her? How laughable!

An individual's dormant energy type could be seen through with a Mage's sheer sensitivity and certain artifacts as well.

It has to be known that this energy could not be suppressed and hidden by normal means, one would need to have a perfect grasp of the dormant energy inside them before they are able to hide their energy from the prying eyes of Mages.

But for Qianna, reaching that high of a height was quite an impossible thing to do now because of a single curse that blocked her chance to ascend in ranks.
