"Tsuru, what happened, did something happen to my grandson." Sengoku asks in a concerned voice when he spots Tsuru leading in Kaen and holding his hand.Sengoku loves his grandson very much and enjoys his company.

"Sengoku and Garp, look what happened to Kaen. Kaen will you please show them your powers?" Tsuru in a rushed tone but slowing down at the question. Kaen nods and lights his hand of black fire making Sengoku drop his paperwork and Garp's half eaten donut to fall on the floor.

"What the hell, did he eat the unknown fire logia type fruit." Garp says in a dazed voice as he looks at Kaen. Sengoku is a bit happy since he can tell this fruit has superior heat capabilities than the normal Mera Mera no mi meaning it's stronger. Maybe Kaen can become another Admiral in a few years because that Sengoku really happy and proud of his grandson.

"Kaen why don't you go outside for a moment. Let the adults talk alone will you. ''Sengoku says in a soft tone. Kaen nods his head since his business with his grandpa finished. The question is whether they speed his training. The moment Kaen steps outside, Sengoku turns to Garp with a serious look.

"I want you to take Kaen outside of Marineford and train him. Take him with you for a few years."

"Yeah Yeah, you want me to train the brat, I will train the brat until he cannot move everyday."

Garp replies as he flicks his booger and laughs in a loud voice.

"Kaen, can you come in for a minute?" Sengoku says in a soft voice.

"Yes,Grandpa Sengoku what do you want? Kaen asks his grandfather. Sengoku tells him of the deal he made with Garp and says he is leaving in a week.

"So quickly pack up everything okay" Sengoku asks him.

"Thank you so much grandpa." Kaen was excited after all, he was being trained by "Iron Fist" Garp, someone who cornered "Pirate King" Gol D Roger multiple times. Kaen quickly ran back to his room and started pack everything. While he did focused on his devil fruit manipulation and tried to create structures increasing his control, he did not slack on physical training doing his best work on overall body strength along with endurance. After doing this control exercise for his devil fruit for a week, he could create simple things like small spikes or fireball nothing too advanced. His stamina increased by 1.5x meaning he could use attacks a bit more or with more ferocity.

"Alright, I have to quickly take a shower. I am leaving with Grandpa Garp today." Kaen said out loud not speaking to anyone in particular. He quickly ran back to his dorm which he shared with Vice-Admiral Tsuru. He took a quick shower and grabbed his suitcase filled with clothes. He did not have much except since this will be a training trip not a vacation. He went to the harbor to see multiple high ranking marines there to say goodbye to him. There was Vice-Admiral Kuzan, Vice-Admiral Tsuru, and his grandfather Sengoku. He could also be a girl standing behind Vice-Admiral which he recognized as Gion future Vice-Admiral. She was recently taken under Tsuru due to her being found in her hometown where it was raided by a bunch of pirates.

"Take care of yourself, little fire boy" Kuzan exclaims good-naturedly taking up the lazy uncle role in his life. He took care of him multiple times and even got in trouble for not responding to headquarters calls to take him to Loguetown. He got to see where the Pirate King was executed and bought him a sword which he never used due to no one teaching him. He still brought it with him in case someone on the ship can teach him. The sword he had was a long katana with a black handle. It had a cross-shaped guard and a black lacquered sheath. The blade itself was normal in appearance and its pattern was a irregular pattern. It was considered to be a very light sword. Though mostly black, the sheath and the handle both had thin yet elaborate gold designs on them. Any good swordsman can recognize it as Yubashiri(Snow Chaser), one of the 50 Skillful Grade Swords. A good replacement until he get Shusui(Autumn Water) from Gecko Moria but he has to prove himself in front of Ryuma before taking possession of Shusui. Like in the original anime when Zoro beat Ryuma, he needs to do the same since Shusui possess a conscious like the Kitetsu.

"Take care of yourself and listen to Garp. Okay while Garp is an idiot, he is a strong and capable marine. Listen and Learn well from him". Grandpa Sengoku replies in a stern tone but gets a bit happy when insulting Garp. Garp grumbles but does not say anything.

"I will, Grandpa Sengoku and uncle Kuzan. See you when I come back." Kaen replies with a wave.

"Alright, brat get on my ship so we can go". Garp orders with impatience as he starts picking his nose.

'Alright Grandpa Garp you sure are impatient." Kaen replies but whispers at the end. Garp look at him for a bit suspicious for bit before turning the other way.

Kaen climbs aboard the Dog-Head Battleship commandeered by Vice-Admiral Garp and his right hand man Bogard. The marines were looking at the kid with curious, probably why a child is going on his ship. Garp along with Bogard showed Kaen his room with he did not have to share with anyone. He also took him to on the tour of the ship showing Kaen since he never seen the inside of it. Then he gathered the marines for an announcement on the deck where the marines trained.

"Marines today we will have someone joining us today, he is Sengoku's grandson and he will be staying with us for next 11 years. He will be training with us and travelling" Garp loudly told them with no restraint or warning. This made them helplessly look at each other. Garp could see jealousy in some of the eyes of marines but they were the new recruits. He just shakes his head at this but keeps his guard in case these recruits do something to harm Kaen. In his eyes, most of these marines are just cannon fodder and Kaen is worth a lot more. He is his and Sengoku grandson and possesses a logia type fruit. This basically means he can get up to Rear-Admiral with his fruit and then take him to the Admiral Rank. He be damned if something happened to him.
