Ch8: Magic Squad Entrance exam 2
After all this, Konan finally spoke again
Konan: "now for the final and last test, time to check your combat ability" hearing this, many people
went "WHAT!!!" Then Daisuke stepped forth
Daisuke: "well yeah, what were you expecting? We‟re knights and every day we face danger, if you are
not ready to fight, then why are you here??" he continued
Daisuke: "divide yourself into a pair of 2 choose your opponent wisely and fight with every spell you
have learnt, your future as a magic knight depends on it. Now battle!" as he sat back down.
Soon the first pair went, 2 boys; they both looked like commoners.
The battle began with the first commoner (A) shouting "wind magic: wind blades" the other (B) "water
magic: rising tide" they both collided *boom* B then ran forward while shouting "water magic: water
shark." A was off guard and before he could activate his magic the sharks already bombarded him.
Announcer: "B wins!"
Thus many other began going as they tried their best to succeed as their future was in their own hands.
Yami was leaning on the wall as he watched the matches then someone came to him and said "hi
there, I noticed you haven't found a partner yet, want to spare with me?" hearing this yami smiled and
thought
Yami: 'nice a guy who wants to prove his worth, I should destroy him so he knows his place'
Yami nodded then followed the guy to the middle of the coliseum. Seeing them people began
blabbering "oh a nobles fight"
"Seems the guy with the golden crown is about to kick some ass" said a certain someone
"Don't be so sure he might lose" another responded
"Go! Go! Go! Go! Go" many girls cheered yami as they didn‟t know his name.
Seeing yami in the field, Kusuke couldn't help but smile Ren noticed this and asked
Ren: "why are you smiling Kusuke?"
Kusuke: "you will understand soon enough" said Kusuke as he smiled.
Then after having done all formalities, the noble who invited yami said "let's do this!! I'll show you the power of a real noble!" But yami remained unfazed
Noticing that his words didn't work on yami, the noble was angered thinking yami was undermining
him so he shouted "YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME? HOW DARE YOU!!!" He opened his
grimoire and immediately, a huge dark orb appeared before him and he said "BEHOLD THE POWER OF A REAL NOBLE!!" The orb caused violent wind to surface but it didn't disturb the
captains one bit but some students were push back and one said "Wow such power! As you would expect from a noble" then the noble said "I call this spell, mirage orb. Now face true despair" as he sent the orb yami's way.
Seeing the orb headed his way, he smiled and stretched his hand; someone saw this and said "that guy!
Is he crazy? He plans to take it head on?"
The orb finally arrived yami's hand and *poof* it vanished, no one could believe what they say, he dispersed a large orb just by touching it, even some captains were shocked by this. The noble who had
shot it thought 'how? How did he disperse my strongest spell with just a touch of the hand?'
Yami noticed the look of despair on the nobles face and said
Yami: "is that all you got?" the noble was shocked beyond words, his strongest skill was that weak in
yami's eyes 'monster' was the only thought he held as he was knocked out by a simple wind spell from
yami.
Announcer: *shocked* "yami Hero… wins"
And yami heads back to hide from the sun.
After that many others battled and the test finally came to an end.
Then Konan stepped forward
Konan: "we have now officially come to the end of the magic squad entrance exam, now it's time for admission" she said before continuing
Konan: "if a squad wants you, they will raise a hand, if multiple squads raise a hand; you have the right
to choose which you will like to join. If no squad raises a hand, that means you weren‟t worth anyone's time and you will head back home, you may try again next year. Now let the admission begin"
The announcer stepped forth
Announcer: "no.1. Step forward" he moved and after a couple of minutes, no hands were raised
Announcer: "no.1. No hands" and thus it continued;
Announcer: "no.25. No hands"
Announcer: "no.37. No hands"
Announcer: "no.67. Step forward" after a couple of minutes, Kusuke raised his hand and said
Kusuke: "come young one"
Announcer: "no.67. Joins the Hero guild" finally hope came back
Announcer: "no.72. Infinite chaos"
Announcer: "no.100. Dragon claw" he had 3 hands not worth mentioning but also avgenius
Then no.121 stepped forward and 7 hands were raised and it was the 7 highest ranking squads. She
was a girl (beast men) and she said "it will be an honor to join the golden crown"
Announcer: "no.121. The golden crown"
Certain someone: "wow she got into the cream of the crop"
another said: "yeah pretty good"
Announcer: "no.134. The white cloud" another genius, a demon boy joined a top ranking squad (5
hands)
Announcer: "no.147. The crimson blood" a girl had joined this squad (4 hands)
After him, the room was silent with many not getting admitted and finally it was no.177. Turn, yami's
turn.
Announcer: "no.177. Step forward"
Yami came forward and looked at all 13 magic captains; he kept a stoic face and thought 'okay Youno
no.2. Is here' then one by one, all the 13 magic knight captains raised their hand; this shocked
everyone in the coliseum.
Certain someone said "WHAT!? All 13 captains"
Another: "I knew he was badass but not this strong"
Yami hearing this comments smiled and thought 'I'm yami dumbasses' then he looked at all the hands
and said
Yami: "I'd like to join the blue sky squad" this made Dante smile, ren seeing this said
Ren: "Damn he got the best!" *pout*
Announcer: "no.177. The Blue sky"
Others came but few were worth mention, soon everyone had received their reward and the exam
ended.
The end of this exam marked the beginning of 5 people, who were later going to be legends with one
becoming a true pillar of the world.
