Ch10: Test of strength

After the sorting was done, each individual headed to their respective base with their captains.

Yami had just arrived his soon to be house and here he's about to fight for a spot in the base yet again. 'It seems after I got reincarnated, I lost all my luck. Here I am about to fight a veteran and his name is Levi!! This is so fucked up' I thought to myself as I look at my opponent.

Levi: "are you ready?"

Yami: "umm… why must I fight you?"

Levi: "because the captain said so, isn‟t it obvious?"

Yami: 'I guess I can't back down now. Might as well go all out' "okay Mr. Levi, please choose 1-3 numbers between 0-9" said yami to Levi.

This 0-9 represents the 10 elements yami had mastered:

0- Dark 1- Lightening 2- Light 3- Fire

4- Teleportation 5- Body strengthening

6- Space 7- Ice 8- Wind 9- Water

He made dark 0 because for him it had unlimited potential to him. Levi hearing this thought for a while before he said: "okay I choose 0 and 3" a huge smile appeared on yami's face as he heard this.

Yami: "okay 0 and 3, let's get this started" as he removed his grimoire from its pouch.

Levi smiled and dashed forward. In an instant, he arrived in front of yami and heard yami mutter: "divine magic: dark shield" and immediately huge shields surrounded yami.

*clack* as Levi's sword hit the shield, he then drew back and dash back forward with great speed as he continued clashing his sword with the shield.

After having slashed the shield for a while, Levi realized he couldn't destroy it with simple swords thus he muttered: "holy sword" immediately his 2 unholy swords vanished then a golden colored sword popped into his hand. He took a stance and muttered as he slashed vertically "dark breaker" the vertical slash destroyed the shield and pushed yami back. 'Wow not bad' thought yami as a new page opened in his grimoire, he muttered: "divine magic: death's scythe" a dark scythe appeared on his hand, he dashed towards Levi.

*clack* *clack* as the two weapons clashed with each other. At a point Levi stopped and said "sword magic: million slash"

A thousand swords appeared as they slashed yami. He was able to deflect some but he still received minor wounds. Noticing that if he continued he'll lose, yami muttered: "divine magic, dark fire: AMATERATSU!!"

A black flame enveloped all the swords burning them to nothingness. Dante and Levi were surprised by this development. 'It seems that blame burns anything it touches to nothingness, but it must take a huge toll on his mp' thought Levi. His deduction was correct but sadly, yami had huge magic reserves.

After all his swords had vanished, Levi stood there and said "sword magic: summon

Demon sealing sword" then a green colored short sword appeared. Seeing this sword, cold sweat dropped from yami's back 'damn, this guy has Asta's sword. This just got a whole lot harder, I should get serious too'

Then various pages passed in yami grimoire then he said "divine magic: dark bomb" a big dark orb appeared and shot towards Levi.

Yami: "divine magic: Fiery bomb" a fire orb also flew towards Levi with the dark orb. Yami: "divine magic: Dark flame annihilation" a small sized dark flame orb appeared on yami's finger as he shot it upward.

Levi who was at the receiving end of all this was shocked at yami's casting speed 'fast' he thought, he then dashed forward, touched the dark orb and it immediately vanished due to the fact that the sword had absorbed it. He slashed the fire orb vertically thus causing a huge explosion.

After he had slashed both, he wondered where the dark flame bomb had gone to, but then he felt a chill run down his spine. He looked up and noticed a gigantic dark flame orb falling his way, noticing this he thought 'when did it get so big!' he jumped towards the orb as he shouted: "sword magic: wipe away slash" and he slashed at the orb. The slash was small at first but it then became huge to match the size of the dark flame orb.

*BOOOOOM* a huge explosion occurred destroying some of the surrounding trees but didn't affect captain Dante or the blue sky base. Soon yami checked to find Levi but he couldn't, he then turned around and said "guess he died…" but then he felt a sword pointing at his neck "never turn your back to your opponent" 'damn why couldn't I sense him' yami cursed as he had lost. Levi removed the sword and headed towards Dante and he began speaking to him, yami fell to his feet as he thought 'guess I lost, this guy can't be a normal member of the squad. He must be a vice captain or something'. He then noticed Dante and Levi talking, 'what are they talking about' he wondered. Dante then came to yami with Levi at his side.

Yami: "yeah I know I lost but I really want to join this…" before he could finish Dante put his hand on his shoulder and said "Welcome to blue sky, you pass." A huge smile was visible on yami's face as he heard this. Together with the captain, they headed into the mansion.

As they entered, the first thing he saw was a buff man doing push-ups with a finger!!!! 'Wtf, how strong is that guy, see his muscles!!!'

He turned and saw a girl reading, she had black hair and seemed to be in the same age as him 'She's hot' yami thought.

He then turned and saw a kid who seemed to be a year or so older than him wearing an armor 'oh what's with that guy's armor' he saw others each doing their various stuff. Then Dante said "this guys will be your squad mates, introduce yourself" yami stepped forward.

Yami: "My name is Yami Hero, pleasure to meet you" silence filled the room as the newbie introduced himself to the squad.
