Gem is a super girl who had been abandoned by her parents in the worst possible place ever.

Despite being a superhuman, Gem was weaker than the lesser superhumans who found it fulfilling to hurt and abuse the elderly and children alike.

The wastelands was a lawless place, so to seek for a better life, Gem was offered to join in an expedition. One that would finally set them free from the abuse.

But this expedition required a lot of courage and sacrifice as it was proven to have little to no chances of success.

And indeed it was a hopeless mission, crossing the flaming border with no equipment? It was as if these people had come here to die!

One by one, Gem saw these people turn into ashes, their high pitched screams adding detail to the brutal flames that has formed an image in her mind resembling hell.

She knew crossing the border was a false hope, but there was no coming back.

"See you in the afterlife!" The cheerful voice of her friend echoed in her memories.

Gem couldn't believe that out of the fifty people that she had come with, only one was able to escape the borders alive. The first one to do so in its entire history.

She laid on the ground, feeling the dampness of the mud cool down her burning skin.

"I... I'm alive? They all turned into ashes... but how did I not?"

No one could believe it, they were all enraged. A little girl was able to survive such brutal flames? How did she do it and what could be the life waiting for her beyond the borders?

The Plains in Super

"Huh? What happened?" Heize said after opening her eyes and finding herself in a completely different place.

"Why am I here?" She asked after recognizing the place and looked around to check if her guess was right, but as she was roaming her eyes around, she noticed that her human limbs and body were back, in fact, she was also wearing her school uniform which was totally weird and out of style.

"Why am I wearing this thing? And my hat!" she exclaimed after feeling a familiar spiky thing on her head, "Ughh."

While Heize was being concerned about her outdated fashion style and her being back to her human form, a loud explosion suddenly shook the ground up, making Heize fall to the ground for not having proper control with her limbs and for spending her time as a four-legged animal the whole time.

"What the hell?" she said and pushed herself up, even trying to remove the witch's hat that was covering her vision.
