Darkcon looked confused. "Why do you want to change your wish?"
"Because now I want to wish for talent in magic." Darknik answered calmly.
Kainik looked betrayed. "Little brat, why didn't you change your wish when you saw the scythe."
"That's because magic is cooler."
"You little!"
"Stop fighting!" Darkcon said angrily. "And no, once you make a wish you can't change it, and I'm sure you have talent for magic, so I will teach you when the party is over, so just relax and enjoy the party."
Darknik and Kainik immediately stopped arguing and continued eating their cake.

The next day, Darknik and Darkcon were in a pitch-black room with a dim lighting, and Darknik was sitting on the floor with his legs crossed.
"What do you think magic is?" Darkcon asked.
"Magic is a mystical art that allows people to do amazing things." Darknik answered confidently.
"Wrong." Darkcon said with a smirk. Darknik had a surprised expression as she continued. "Magic and Science is actually very similar, yet very different. Science can be thought of as artificial while Magic can be thought of as natural, but they both can be understood and improved on." Darkcon paced around the room.
"Magic is using the elemental energies in the atmosphere and shaping them to your needs, but it isn't mystical, and it has its own rules. The first rule is the Magic cannot be created nor destroyed. The second rule is that nobody can use every element of magic, as you are born with elements and you can only use those elements until you die. The last rule is that Magic should be used responsibly, and you should never misuse it."
Darkcon took a rubber ball out of a small black crystal. "Here." Darkcon handed the ball to Darknik. "Hold the ball." Darknik grabbed the ball and waited for further instructions.
Darkcon went behind Darknik and put her hands on his back. "It will feel slightly uncomfortable, but I want you to inject your energy into the ball."
Darknik injected his energy into the ball, but as soon as he did an uncomfortable sucking feeling came from the ball. Darknik panicked and tried to let go of the ball, but it stuck onto him like a pair of wet clothes.
"Don't worry, you won't be hurt by this." Darkcon assured Darknik. "It is just absorbing your energy into itself." Darknik calmed down, but still felt uneasy as the ball continued sucking up his energy for a few seconds before falling to the ground.
As Darkcon picked the ball up, it glowed with a blood red light. Inside of the light was a large ball of black light, a medium sized ball of orange light, and a small ball of purple light. A ball of green light about the size of nail could also be seen inside of the ball.
"As expected of my son, you have 5 affinities! You have a main affinity for Blood, a high affinity for Death, a mid-level affinity for fire, a low-level affinity for darkness, and a miniscule amount of affinity for poison!" Darkcon had an excited glint in her eyes as she told Darknik his affinities.
Darknik had a confused expression on his face as he opened his mouth to ask a question. "What is the difference between affinity levels?"
Darkcon cleared her throat as she answered the question. "Let's say person number one had a main affinity for fire, while person number two had a high affinity for fire. To learn and comprehend the same spell, person number two would have to work twice as hard as person number one to completely comprehend the spell. If person number two had a mid-level affinity, they would have to work four times as hard, and if they had a low-level affinity, they would have to work eight times as hard, and you should be able to guess for a miniscule amount of affinity. So, are you ready to learn Magic?"
Darknik still looked confused. "But I thought I have already learned some magic?"
Darkcon looked unconvinced. "Really? Show me." Darknik channeled his energy and sent a small pulse of blond red light to his feet, jumping 4 meters of the ground.
"While you are technically using Magic, you are using it in a primitive way." Darkcon said. "True Magic is using magic circles, or using a spell to do complex things like creating a spear of ice to pierce your foes. All you did just channel your energy into your hand and create a blast of energy. This, is true magic."
Darkcon used her energy to create seven green swords of poison before sending them shooting through the black wall, which rapidly corroded before Darkcon dispelled her energy. After she dispelled her energy, the holes in the wall rapidly closed up before the room fell silent.
Darknik looked at his mother with an expression of awe as she glanced back at him. "You see the difference now?"
"Yes yes yes I do!" Darknik asserted as he furiously nodded his head. 'When can I learn how to do stuff like that!"
Darkcon held her hands out. "Slow down, slow down. You will be able to do those things in the near future as long as you have talent, but you will have to work hard. since you have a miniscule amount of affinity for the Poison element, I will teach you different things, but remember, as long as you work hard you can master all of the elements you have an affinity for."
"Then what are you going to teach me?"
Darkcon grinned. "First, in order to use magic properly, you must have a suitable vessel for it. You will be doing some hellish training from now on, and don't think I will give you mercy just because I am your mother!"
"But I do a lot of exercises every day!"
Darkcon pulled up Darknik's shirt. "I don't see any muscles." Darknik sighed and questioned his mother. What do I have to do?"
"You'll see." Darkcon said with an evil glimmer in her eyes. "But for now, our time is up." Darknik took out a diamond shaped watch. "It's time for your dad to teach you the art of the scythe."
