Lich
Class - Undead
Lich is a type of undead creature. Liches are spellcasters(mages) who seek to defy death by magical means and are capable of casting spells that will require few people to use it.
A mage becomes a lich through necromancy, using a magical receptacle to store the lich's soul
Liches were generally gaunt and skeletal with withered flesh stretched tight across horribly visible bones but could vary greatly in appearance depending on their age. Some appeared as skeletons dressed in regal finery, yet others might appear to be nothing more than lepers.
Not only mages can become a lich. Monsters or skeletons have the same option, but they must pass a few evaluations and be Undead to become one.
After becoming a lich, many creatures will feel a surge of strength and will think that they cannot be defeated. They are not mistaken in their thoughts, and a lot of evidence can be found to support this statement, one of which is the intimidating control of cold magic. Because of this magic, most of the creatures will simply freeze before the start of the fight. However, all Lich is still Undead being therefore it will take damage from light magic.

Time flew by and our little group of monsters began to wake up. Edgar was the first person who got up, he didn't waste any time and started to stretch.
Edgar: 'mm moss, although it could allow me to sleep well, it will not replace my old mattress. I guess I could just go back to sleep after all we aren't rushing anywhere.'
*Ding*
8 Intruders have been spotted in the dungeon
Edgar: 'Yes, yes, yes, of course, this will happen... Well, at least we can farm more Exp.'
Edgar: "ooy wake up, we were just allowed to get strong!''
Izbor: "Margan and I are ready to go."
Riku: "Five more minutes."
Edgar did not even bother to listen to what Riku said and used the most proven method to wake somebody up.
*Bam*
Riku: "WHY DID YOU HIT ME?"
Edgar: "Wakey Wakey dear friend! We have a job to do."
Riku: "That doesn't mean you can hit me!!"
Edgar: "If you have enough strength to argue with me, then you can definitely survive such a weak blow. So stop complaining and get up."
With an irritated face, Riku slowly rolled from his side to his belly and slowly stood up on his legs.
Edgar: "As you might have heard there are 8 intruders which enter into the dungeon. So I plan to slowly walk over and have a look at said intruders. If we arrive when multiple groups fight each other and intruders are in the fight, we will become a 3d party and join but only when both or multiple sides are weakened so we won't suffer too much."
Izbor: "Isn't it easier to join in the fight straight away?"
Edgar: "It could've been an option if all monsters fought together, however, nobody will do so and we won't be the only ones who will be waiting for an opportunity to finish off the remaining foe and claim all the monster cores."
Edgar: "Any more questions?"
Riku: "Can I shoot from a distance?"
Edgar: "Yes and No"
Riku: "What do you mean?"
Edgar: "By shooting you will expose yourself and will attract monsters which could lead you to your death. Therefore I would only fire when you have solid and hard reachable positions and get one of us to be next to you, as well as try to fire at monsters who are hiding or in between different groups to be more efficient and waste less mana."
Riku: "Ok I can do that. But what do I do if I meet a fast creature like that butterfly?"
Edgar: "If it didn't notice you then hide and let it pass if it did notice you scream in our mind link that you were spotted one of us will come over."
Edgar: "One more thing when we will reach the battle, let's find a position which will allow us to regroup really quickly and we never should go further than 10 ~ 25 meters from Riku so we can always get back in time to help him if so required."
Edgar: "I will ask again, do any of you have any more questions?"
…
Edgar: "Great let's start head out and then try to find them"
Margan: "Find, How, Them?"
Edgar: "Firstly and the easiest way is to follow the whisper of the dungeon. By that I mean just listen to it and it will tell you where to go. Secondly by noise and smell."
Margan: "Ok"
Slightly grinning at Margan's funny manner of speech, Edgar turned around and started to stumble to the exit not long after him was Riku and after he was to imps. They were walking in an arrow formation, otherwise known as wedge formation, where Edgar was at the front, 2 imps were further behind and Riku in the middle.
Edgar's small group came out of their 'home' and headed out to the crystal bridges where Edgar and Riku first met. They slowly walked over to the first bridge and started to cross it. When Edgar first crossed this bridge, he was too carried away by the pursuing enemy to truly appreciate the beauty of this place. He looked around, trying to remember each multi-coloured crystal and its sizes and the slightly growing bluegrass with blue, purple, red, green, and white flowers with crystal growing in a place where 'Ovule' should be. He happily breathed in the cool air with the scent of flowers. He only noticed that the temperature in this dungeon was cool and maybe even cold for some creatures.
Edgar: "We should look around before we start speeding up our pace. Who knows what type of monsters are in this dungeon."
Izbar: "Edgar, can I ask you a question?"
Edgar: "Go ahead."
Izbar: "Why are you being so careful? The first time I met you I thought you weren't scared of any creature in this area."
Edgar: "Being careful is one of the most important things in life because you can never predict what will happen in the future. As you might have noticed, currently we are actually walking across bridges, however, we might be ambushed or the bridge my stat cracking. If you were careful you would have noticed and had time to escape. Did I answer your question?"
Izbar: "Yes"
Hours passed and they continued to go further and further into the depths or towards the exit of the dungeon. During this time Izbar continued to bombard Edgar with different questions, they began with methods of fighting against someone and ended with questions about his daily life mixed with various plant names that he had seen and monsters which he fought against. While the two monsters chatted about their life in the dungeon, Riku continued to admire and jump to different things, trying to see or taste them. Margan... Margan was Margan, he just bluntly looked on the floor and most likely thought about food or something unnecessary. During their little crusade, they noticed different monsters, some were in groups, walking to the same place as they were. Others were lonely wolves, which tried to fight each other or wait until the fight broke out and scavenge for wood or monster cores which would most likely be left behind.
One of the most unusual encounters that happened on the path of our little group was meeting a sand lizard or as Edgard called it an Earth dragon, it wasn't bigger than Edgar and generally reminded of the rock or ground. It would have seriously wounded one of them if Edgars and Rikus' skill didn't inform them of his arrival. The beast jumped out of the ground, aiming directly at Izbar's feet. As soon as the Sand Lizard jumped out of the ground, Edgar dived in its way and blocked its bite. But in doing so, he allowed her razor-sharp teeth to enter his side. However, Edgar's armour was too strong for her teeth to pierce his armour and enter too deep. Edgar didn't give time for it to recover and retreat into the ground. Using his skill "roll" he flipped himself and the lizard overexposing its belly for Izbars, Rikus, And Margan attacks.
Giving them a quick signal through their mental link to attack, the lizard was kicked, beaten and stabbed to death by the three creatures.
Edgar: "Well, that went great who wanted its core!"
Riku: "ME, ME PLEASE."
Edgar: "Anybody?"
Riku: "I'M WANT IT!!!!!"
Edgar: "Izbar or Margan, which one of you wants to eat the core?"
Margan: "Can, have, core, me?"
Sure replied Edgar chuckling at Margans speaking habits and Riku's raging and screaming at him.
They stopped for a few minutes to eat the lizard and have a small rest. While they were doing so, Edgar tried to remember all the landscapes they walked through. From deserts of dust to crystal forests and even volcanoes were present in this dungeon. He was confused and amused by the complexity and variety of life in the dungeon.
Edgar: "Time to go and from now on let's try to hunt all creatures we meet."
With that said, Edgar stood up and started to crumple up the hill so he could have a better view. While he was walking up he kept digging and chucking dirt and sand on himself as well as he kept walking close to rocks and shadows so his camouflage can be used to its fullest potential. When he reached the top he noticed many groups of monsters walking to the same place, whereas he understood were the intruders.
Edgar: "Ok let's speed up or we will be left with nothing."
After hearing him the group rushed down the hill and on their way they fought each monster they met quickly killing and butchering the corpses so they could get monster cores, which were eaten as soon as they were ripped out of the monster's chest.
It took them around 20 minutes to reach the gate where many monsters gathered. Edgar saw chaos, monsters were killing each other, their screams of pain and were shouted mixed in the battle noises. However, he didn't see a single sign of intruders.
Edgar: "All stay close and follow me up that hill, let's find a suitable place between the crystals so we can wait until their numbers decrease by… let's say 25%.'
None of them tried to question Edgar because they knew by themselves it didn't matter how strong, because at this stage of evolution the pure number of enemies will be enough to defeat you. They quickly moved up the hill and found the perfect spot for Riku to take the position and bombard enemies while Edgar and 2 imps will hold them back.
The plan has few flaws like nobody will guard Rikus back but Edgar took that into account and quickly dug 10th of rabbit holes which will act as mines for monsters that will try to run up to him. Secondly, he told Izbar to guard Riku. The reason for that is that he wanted Margan to gain some experience in fighting.
Edgar and Margan quickly hopped down the hill while hearing explosions behind their back. 40 feet before the first group of monsters. 30 feet, 25 feet , 19 feet, 13 feet, 7 feet, 4 feet and they saw red like bullets fall from the sky which led to an explosion and at least 3 insect monsters died straight away. As soon as the Rikus explosion happened Edgar divided forward nocking one goblin to the floor and jumping to the next one living an easy kill of Margan.
Minutes have passed and the body count kept increasing on the battlefield. Edgar's group kept their distance and only fought on the outskirts while trying to attract only small portions of monsters at once. At first Edgar thought more monsters will try to run past them and attack Riku and Izbar. However only a few of said monsters even noticed both creatures on top of the hill. However, only a few monsters even noticed them.
Edgar: "This is going to smooth be prepared something is coming"
As soon as those words were delivered to his companions they noticed movement in the distance. 8 humanoid figures were slowly approaching them.
The only thought that ran through their heads were…
Humans!
