Chapter 6 - Figured Out

The woman's eyes widened because of what I said. Her jaw dropped. "WHAT!?" she shouted. "Y-your v-vo-ice, its super husky"

I stepped back. She's creepy and weird.

"Ah." she scratched her head so hard when she saw the retreat I made. "I apologize again. I can be too much sometimes."

She sat at the top of a wooden crate and sighed. I swallowed down the lump in my throat. Meeting strangers is hard for me. Especially when they are too energetic.

"What were you doing here?" I asked slowly.

She stopped whatever breakdown she was having and gave me a blinding smile. I said that, energetic.

"I'm looking for boss monsters or whatever it might be. But I kind of agree with those two boys. If there are any, there should be instructions given." she replied. "By the way, I'm Danina Ferrer! Although my friends just call me Nina."

I blinked. Nina? that bells a ring. ah, wait his name is one of my friends in a game.

'It's not just the Forsaken World is what I play, but also I play any action-adventure kind of games. '

I sneezed. "Have you played games other than this?"

She nodded happily. "Of course! You're talking to a pro, hehe. You?"

"I'm Ae-John,"

"Are you new to games?" Nina frowned. "Because the old man oriented said that they handpicked different gamers. There are pros, streamers and newbies."

I bitten my lower lip while thinking of what to answer. I don't like lying to people but I don't want them to know me. But Nina only asked if I was new. I can just give a vague answer. That's why I shook.

"Oh ~ Nice. Let's help each other, then." She grinned. "What do you think? There's a Floor boss, really?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. But I think we should look for it just in case. Because we still don't know what that time is for."

"You're right. Ah, damn it!" I was surprised when she suddenly cursed. "What did those developers eat and locked us in this game?"

Nina continued to complain as we explored the whole city. As the minutes ticked away, I was able to absorb his happy habit. I laughed at some of her jokes and share my own dry or recycled ones. She would laugh it for being corny.

"It's not here either." Nina replied and exited a building. "Hey. What's that for?"

I also looked up at the sky. We've been looking for Nina for two hours, but until now we still don't know how to get off this floor.

"Should we try and find some other group of players?" she suggested.

I thought about it. We've already encountered about two groups. All the leaders there are talented players or known in this field. Aside from looking for the quest point, they're also trying to find the exit.

"There are about more than ten groups in this floor. Five hundred players are wandering about and looking for a way out. The floor isn't very rough but why isn't the umber of players still reduced. Not one of us has left yet. .

I struggle to remember what the old man said. MO wants its player to experience all elements of the game. My recollection and understanding is that they will be used in the construction of the Floor. Elements can be the player's skill set, attributes set, friends, guild, level-

My eyes widened when I realized that. The process and elements of the game are applied in floor. Game, where every level has a new function that becomes available, here a player can open functions that become available, here a player can open functions as they proceed to the next floor.

"John?"

Nina snapped her fingers in front of my face. I averted my gaze from the time and looked at her.

"I think I figured it out."

Her eyes widened at what I said. "What did you figured out?" she asked cautiously.

But before I could answer we heard a loud explosion or collapse. I quickly turned to where the sound came from and so did Nina.

"We better go see what it is. "

I nodded at what she said. We once ran in the direction of the sound. I jumped at every crate, stall and boxes that obstructed my way.

'I guess, my class is Rogue.'

Nina also did the same, using the walls to navigate and run faster.

We arrived at a plaza filled with people. We don't see what's going to happen because of the amount of people around. Nina took my hand and dragged me towards the rooftop of a house. He went up first and held out his hand to me.

"What the-" she whispered as we saw the cause of the commotion.

I gaped at the scene that laid bare in front of me. A heavy steeled door now appeared in front of the plaza. It was closed with large bars place on the handle. I'm sure it's nothing. Could it have appeared because the time reached one hour?

The people below were talking among themselves. They were sure that was the exit. But it's very weird if it suddenly shows up for no reason. They're probably thinking that this is a trap.

But it's not.

"John. What were you saying earlier that you already know?" Nina asked and mimicked the gate. "Is that it?"

I shook. "I meant that I know how the floor are established and how we can complete this floor."

"So that's not the real gate?"

"It's the true gate. But it can't be opened now."

She frowned at my answer. " What do you mean-"

I turned to Nina. "Do you remember what happened when we were just starting to play?"

She frowned and gave a hesitating nod. "Quite? Why?"

"It's you, Nina. Every time we're starting to play a game, we wait for the loading to finish. Or maybe we wait for the introductory story or message to finish. And this is it" It makes sense. Our character customization probably happened when we were sent the e-mail. The conformation happened when we showed up at the company. "

"And now we're here at his loading point. That means-" she frowned. "Four hours is just for-"

Nina's words were cut short by a shout coming from the plaza. I shifted my gaze there. My forehead furrowed when I saw a large man with a frightened face.
