21. The Author Tries to Make This Part Which is Full of Exposition More Interesting

One bowl of chicken noodles was served in front of each of them. Its appearance is plain because the toppings are only chicken pieces and green vegetables. However, the aroma still piqued Evan's appetite. After all these events, his energy was drained and now his stomach is rumbling.

"Please eat. It's the favorite food at this police station. The police and workers often buy them. The taste is so good. " Still smiling, Jon started pinching the noodles with chopsticks.

"You praise the food you sell yourself, Mr. Jon? You are selling in front of this police station to keep an eye on because aliens with problems are often brought here. right? It's really weird." Tony grumbled, not touching the noodles at all. "I saw how shocked the workers here were once you pointed out that you are actually a member of that organization."

The man named Jon chuckled. "It's a secret, but I will tell your son and his friends, although not in detail. It's because I want to earn their trust. They've seen a lot about all of this. They can't be fooled that the wolf beast is just a high-level prank."

"Huh, so you guys have made stupid narratives like that to the public?"

"Well, we don't have memory removal tools like in the movies."

Shane who was spooning the broth suddenly froze. Kara, who had started eating, also froze, so many noodles were dangling from her mouth into the bowl and her cheeks were puffed up. Meanwhile, Evan frowned. They had just heard an extraordinary secret.

"Is there a secret organization that is in charge of keeping an eye on aliens? I've never heard of an organization like that." Evan asked with trembling lips.

Jon chewed on his noodles and chuckled a little. "I can only say, it is true that there are government organizations like that. And I am forbidden to tell their name. That is all …. Ah, you better eat your noodles, they'll get cold and soggy."

Evan swallowed hard. His feeling becomes so uncomfortable. When it came to such an organization, his normal life would definitely not last. It irritated him to death, but at the same time, he felt helpless.

He certainly cannot fight against the prowess of the government of this country, even though he has godly power. If he was reckless, he could be annihilated.

Evan picked up the chopsticks that were on top of the bowl, then started eating. Just when he put some noodles into his mouth, he heard a muffled growl from Popo. It turned out that the potato chip girl was looking at Evan with her mouth pouted like a child.

"Aah, take it easy Popo. This is not a snack, but lunch." Evan explained while chewing. He became amused by Popo's behavior. At breakfast this morning, he also saw Popo like that.

Shane giggled softly. "If your master doesn't eat, he won't have the energy to run away if there are monsters."

Popo already opened his mouth to speak, but she held back and only bit her lip while facing the other direction.

Maybe, in this world, the only person who is jealous over food is just Popo. And of course, Evan felt strange about that.

"Looks like someone like you really doesn't need to eat, huh?" Jon asked while staring at Popo's bowl which had not been touched at all.

Popo didn't answer. Jon then smiled at her. Evan's feelings got even worse.

"This is so delicious!" Kara continues to eat heartily, then looks at Jon with an amazed expression. "These are the best chicken noodles I've ever eaten! Does it use the best ingredients?"

"The ingredients are ordinary, really. But I do have a secret when processing it." Jon chuckled again.

Evan agreed. The noodles are so good. The savory taste comes from real chicken, not from artificial flavoring.

"This is for you, Kara. People like me don't need to eat. " Popo shifts the noodles to Kara, who has already finished her share and is now staring sadly at her empty bowl.

A happy smile immediately formed in Kara's mouth. "Wow! Thank you so much, Popo! After all the acrobatics, my stomach is really hungry! You are the best!"

"You're welcome, Kara." Popo smiled back.

Kara pulls Popo's bowl of noodles with a wide smile. Realizing that her two male friends are looking at her with a slight sneer, Kara puts on a bitchy face. "What? If you joke about a girl like me who eats a lot but is still thin, I'll stick your nose with chopsticks. "

Jon laughed a little. "You guys are very close, huh? Maybe it was the right decision that I asked the top not to separate you guys."

Evan immediately raised his eyebrows. "What do you mean, sir?"

"There have been several cases when aliens came here and made friends with humans or other aliens. When they are separated, they become stressed. It can affect their physical condition. The lightest risk is that they are not in prime condition when examined. And worst of all, they can go berserk."

"You could say, the organization you belong to is the Man in Black in the real world, right sir?" After saying that to Jon, Shane turned to Evan, who gave him a confused look. "Don't you know? It is the government people who are rumored to be taking care of things like this. They used to wear black suits and black glasses. There's a movie about that too."

"Aah, looks like I've heard of it." Evan nodded his head slightly.

Jon swallowed the noodles that were in his mouth, then smiled for the umpteenth time. "You ever thought that those people in suits and sunglasses would stand out instead?"

Shane and Evan looked at each other, while Kara was still eating excitedly.

"We try to keep our confidentiality to the maximum. Usually, we won't tell just anyone about us. However, all of you are exceptions. Evan is clearly our biggest interest because of his power. He deserves to know about us. Mr. William also knew from a long time ago, like other aliens who came to earth. You all must be asking, why did we do that? Why not keep our existence a secret from the aliens? Well, like I said earlier, it's to give them trust. If they are approached by strangers who don't want to introduce themselves, it can cause chaos, right?" Jon explained at length.

Evan felt the chill down to his spine. He knew right away that all this was no joke.

"B-but, we're not aliens, right? Why were we told about that?" Shane asked cautiously. Meanwhile, Kara has stopped eating her second meal. Her face was so tense.

"You two have seen it all. You know Evan's power. If you are not informed about this organization, things can get troublesome. Maybe Evan would disappear a few times to be examined at our secret facility. You two as his friends will be very curious and want to find out. Again, it can be troublesome. In the past, we were bothered by ordinary peoples who were too curious." Now Jon's tone sounds so serious. "You better know a little, so you don't ask too many questions. And if you were told like this, it would be easier for me to warn you not to find out more. People who don't know anything but are warned not to find out the truth usually get even more excited about finding out."

Evan could feel his whole body trembling violently. He felt that he had to be more careful of this smiling old man.

"Anything else you want to ask?" Jon smiled for the umpteenth time.

"So ...." Kara swallowed hard with her head lowered slightly. Her chopsticks and spoon have been put on top of the bowl which still contains half a portion of the noodles. "The explanation is too long for me, Sir. If the explanation is too long, I usually won't understand."

Kara lifted her head slowly. His mouth stiffened.

The atmosphere was immediately silent.
