49. A Hot Girl that is Different from the Common Conception

Grace walked slowly down a sidewalk. People's eyes were on her, some whispered, some kept their distance, and many were openly covering their noses. The nice clothes Dovi bought for her didn't seem to cover her filthy body.

Yes, as usual, Grace felt she was being seen as trash. However, this time she didn't care anymore. Soon, she was going to burn them.

The girl turned onto the main road, make some cars have to stop immediately. The sound of horns was heard loudly. Some people even popped their heads out of the windows and yelled at that girl.

However, Grace really didn't care. She stopped in the middle of the road and looked up at the sky. Her mouth then let out a loud scream, "Argggggghhhhh!!!"

A substance like black mud started to emerge from that girl's skin and quickly enveloped her body. Then, that black substance hardens and forms something that looked like chunks of charcoal that are joined together to form a humanoid figure.

The people who had yelled at Grace came out to see what was actually going on. The attention of the people on the sidewalk also returned to that girl. They all did the same thing: opened their mouths in amazement.

But, some choose to run in fear.

Grace lowered her head. Some of the charcoal-like chunks that covered her body began to ignite orange embers. Then, fireballs started coming out of both of her hands. Now, the people who were there realized that the one in the middle of the road was something dangerous. They started running, including the drivers who had been mad at Grace earlier.

The flame girl threw the fireballs in her hand at the cars in front of her. The cars exploded and soared. After that, Grace brought out another fireball from her two hands, and threw it at the buildings on her right and left.

The flames in that buildings begin to spreading fast.

"Ahahahaha!!!" Grace laughed and continued to throw the fireballs blindly. "Feel my fire!!! Ahahahaha!!!

Shane and Kara watched Evan climb into a black sedan. Evan waved his hand at them and then the car accelerated.

"Why can't we come, anyway?" Kara grumbled with her hands on her hips.

"Are you insane?" Shane snorted. "We won't be of any use there. We will just get in their way. You should be grateful we weren't sent to such a dangerous place."

"But, I want to give support to Evan."

"Forget it." Shane checked his watch. "We better go home and pray that Evan is all right."

"You don't want to wait for him? Maybe he needs moral support after the fight?"

Shane shrugged his shoulders. "I also have to support my mom carrying groceries. I've promised to accompany her shopping this afternoon…. "

Gasped, Shane checked his watch again.

"What's the matter, Shane?" Kara raised an eyebrow again.

"Evan told us that Loblob was given life yesterday afternoon, right? Evan didn't tell you exactly when, but if that's what happened, it means that Loblob's duration will end soon, right?" Shane explained in a quick tone. "It's already late."

"Wow, that's really bad. What if Evan forgot about it? It can become very bad if Loblob returns to how he was in the middle of a fight. We have to do something…."

"Let's just call him." Shane cut off the conversation and took out his cell phone.

"Unfortunately, he didn't take me."

It was Mimi's voice. Shane and Kara looked back, and immediately saw the cellphone girl who was standing not far from them. She crossed her chest with an annoyed face.

"Wow, this is getting worse!" Kara spoke in a slightly exaggerated tone. "We don't have Mr. Jon's number or anyone else! We have no way of reaching him…"

"Mimi, you send a message to Mr. Jon. Maybe Evan forgot that Loblob's duration is just around the corner…. Well, chances are Evan had already thought about it, though. This is just in case." Shane asks for help.

"Okay." Mimi gave a thumbs up and was silent for a few moments. "Done."

"Is that all?" Shane blinked his eyes in disbelief.

"Yes, that's all. I also sent it to Bob who was most likely sitting next to Master."

Scratching her hair, Kara chuckled in annoyance. "Shane, what power does that monster have?"

"From the video I saw, he can throw fireballs."

"Wow, it looks like Loblob is really not suitable for fighting him!" Kara clapped her hands together. The way she spoke sounded so fake. "Maybe he needs to give life to something that extinguishes fire, Shane!"

Shane had no time to respond when Kara walked back into Evan's house again with brisk strides.

"No, No, No!" The short-haired young man tried to catch up with his best friend. "Don't be reckless, Kara! He doesn't need our help! The special forces are definitely protecting him! "

"You saw what those monsters did to the members of the special forces, right!? They are very overwhelmed!"

"If the special forces are overwhelmed, how about us!? I'm just an ordinary student who loves anime girls! Your strength is indeed like a king kong, but that won't help much, Kara!" Shane's voice got higher and higher. "Besides, Evan will definitely think of a solution if Loblob loses or returns to his original form. Maybe Evan will come to the electronics store looking for a refrigerator or something."

"I'll forget your insolent words because it's an emergency." The reddish-haired girl stopped and turned to face Shane. "Yes, Evan will usually find a solution. However, didn't you see him earlier? His expression and behavior looked strange. He's not himself right now. Hell, he even forgot to bring his cell phone. Have you ever seen Evan like that?"

Shane had already opened his mouth to tell the truth. However, he held back. He wasn't sure that Evan would appreciate his intention.

"It would be fatal if Evan couldn't think straight in battle. It could be that he will forget to look for something that can extinguish the fire." Kara continued on. "As his best friend, I will help him. Maybe all of this makes him even more stressed out every day that he becomes like that."

Shane immediately caught up with his friend again. "But, Kara ..."

"Mr. Williams, can I borrow the fan in Evan's room!?" Ignoring Shane, Kara asks Tony who sat in the living room.

"Hmmm …." Tony, who was focused on his cellphone, just muttered.

"But, all of this is too dangerous for you to go alone, Kara!" Shane snapped again, now almost hysterical. He was really frustrated with his friend.

Kara entered Evan's room and immediately grabbed the small electronic fan on the study table. Looking at that fan for a moment, Kara then glanced at Shane and grinned. "Who said that I would go there myself?"

Shane's eyes started to widen. "But, I have to accompany my mom for shopping. She wanted to buy some souvenirs before going out of town ...."

With unbelievably fast movements, Kara took out her cell phone to call someone. After a few seconds of holding that communication device to her ear to wait for the call to connect, she spoke in an overly friendly tone, "Hello, Mrs. Maia. It's me, Kara. I want to introduce Shane to a girl who might want to become his girlfriend!"

Shane patted his forehead, while Kara gave his best friend a thumbs up.
