"Ughhh…." Evan struggled to get up, and he had to be helped by Shane to do it. Then, he walks staggered until he was only inches away from the red-haired girl. "Go on, Kara. Tell me why you don't want to go back to being the Kara I know."

Kara tilted her head slightly and narrowed her eyes. "Because my purpose is what master Dovi gave. Actually, my main purpose is not to socialize with humans."

"Huh?" Evan gaped for a moment before finally laughing like a madman. "Master Dovi? Did I hear wrong? You want to be his slave!? Seriously, Kara!"

Evan took off the head covering he was wearing and brought his face closer to Kara's. The young man's gaze was so sharp, like they were stabbed Kara's eyes.

"Whatever you're going to do is futile." Kara continued her speech. "In the first place, I wasn't human."
