Being an alien is also sucks.

The Lifegivers

Kara had just finished her experiment, panting and sweating profusely. Evan and Anderson then approached her.

"Are you all right, Kara?" Evan asked in a worried tone.

"She's fine." Dovi replied by lying down relaxed. "In fact she should have been able to do it longer."

Anderson shook his head. "No, you rest first, Kara. You're so pale."

"But, I heard the progress. She finally answered that she could hear me." Kara answered. "I have to do it again. Time is running out.

Evan crouched down and handed Kara a bottle of mineral water. "Still, you should rest first. Don't listen to Dovi. She just wants to torture you."

Kara was silent for a moment and finally nodded slowly while Dovi laughed.

Evan checked his watch. "I have to go out for a bit. I want to meet Fiona for a moment. Poor her, haven't seen me in a few days."
