204. Griovante

Evan lay in the dense darkness with his head resting on Gaia's lap. The goddess of earth stroked Evan's hair gently.

"I don't know what Fiona will say if she sees me like this." Evan mumbled. He felt like he had slept for a very long time.

"We haven't done anything indecent." Gaia chuckled. "Besides, Fiona doesn't know what happened."

Stretching his body, Evan rose to his feet. "Oh, thank you. If you didn't bring me here, I couldn't imagine the pain and heat I would feel in real life. It's been days since I overstepped my bounds."

Gaia got up too. Her face now looks gloomy. "Again, I'm sorry. You have to make a very big sacrifice. I am sure, you will be remembered by all corners of the earth, because my children will see our fight against the impending threat."

Evan shrugged. "Honestly, I don't care about people… Wait, you said they were going to watch our fight against Griovante? So, after I give the body to you, I won't die yet?"
