Author's Note

Dear lovely reader,

It is I, Yu-chan, here again to bring you another fantasy romance novel.

The setting and historical facts in this novel is messed up by purpose. I didn't want to follow to the letter the happenings of the real Salem Witch Trials 'coz I'm scared of chuchu things haha. Just to point it out, the real trials had their accused hanged by the neck instead of burning at the stake.

The burning at the stake is the European version of executing women (mostly) accused of witchcraft and I decided to mix them up in this reimagined version of fantasy alternate universe Salem called Shalem (yes am sorry my imagination is a bit constrained huhu) and modern era of the 21st century.

The characters are also not historically accurate as the names may sometimes be not the usual names back then and occupations and settings aren't the same. I'm an author who does her research but is too lazy to read the whole thing so I always end up making my own version of the story haha.

The places and events are based on real places but aren't exactly the same. Any similarity with names of people, town, events, etc is solely out of pure coincidence. The story is a work of fiction while other facts are loosely based on researches through the web and other notable sources :)

This is a S L O W B U R N book. The fantasy elements are slowly integrated into the story and will go boom once Lizzie begins her "mission of revenge".

The novel will deal with societal issues focusing on people who aren't considered as the "norm". I wanted to show the minority's side and give a glimpse of the messed up world we are living in but also wanted to show that acceptance and open-mindedness can go a long way.

And most especially love.

The healing power of love and forgiveness.

Please don't skim the story for the "revenge" part only. I don't intend Lizzie to be a petty little girl who lashes out without even understanding. She was hurt, and she is struggling with her feelings.

Acknowledging her feelings does not mean she is weak-willed. Her struggle with her feelings is part of her emotional character development.

Please stay with her until the very end. Her story isn't just about revenge. It is also of healing and acceptance of what has been and what could be done to live a happy life in the present.

Again, this is a SLOWBURN book. So please be patient with Lizzie and if her character does not suit your taste, then please don't lash out in the comments or degrade the characters and hurt the author's feelings. They are designed to be human and every character is unique in their own way.

I work hard and plan my chapters meticulously and I have designed my characters as they are shown. I edit once, twice, even three times or more before I upload, so please be gentle with your comments if there is something you don't like about the story.

I take suggestions but please mind your language and refrain from discouraging the author. Be polite with suggestions and I will see to it if your ideas will blend well with my plans hehehe #fanservice!

Thank you for reading Revenge of the Reincarnated Witch (previously title Rejuvenescence of Lizzie Ainsworth) and I hope to hear your comments!

Updates will be daily by September2021.
