Sisters

Becky and I walked back into Coachella Valley side by side, with my arm around Becky and hers on my waist. It was wonderful, soothing at best, and I kind of missed this kind of warmth from a person.

It seemed like such a long time since I had someone in my arms other than the people who were now in my past.

I miss my family back in Shalem.

Mother, father, Jane, Georgina, and our little dumpling Cory. I wish I could meet them in this lifetime, even if they couldn't remember me.

I'd be more than satisfied and well at ease to see them in loving homes and doing well in life compared to our poor life back then in the 1600s.

I looked out faraway and saw the giant wheel that was merrily spinning with leisure. "Becky, ride the ferris wheel with me soon, ok?"

She turned her head to look at me with her beautiful baby blue eyes and nodded, "Sure! Let's ride with the boys when they are free."
