Don't Look Down On Me!

Confusion spread across Mr. Bernards' face as he began to scrutinize the piece of measly cloth the young and rich heiress had handed over to him. He probably couldn't understand what the kerchief meant, since initials were the only thing that was sewn in it.

"And whose is this from? I presume this W embroidered in the kerchief is for William's initial as it is in his possession as you said." Mr. Bernards asked. "Then who is this E?"

The young lady moved towards the fireplace and fiddled with the hem of her ribbon. She looked a lot like a drama queen who would make a rather disastrous revelation.

"There is one woman I could only think of. And it makes my blood boil how William could accept such a measly gift from such a lowly girl." she said as she slowly turned around to face Mr. Bernards.

Her blood boils? The nerve of this woman to say such things against me!
