Plan (9)

Elena was stressed and worried about her life. Everything was not going according to plan and it made her nervous. Unplanned events were occurring and she wasn't ready for them. Her Coronation had been postponed till the next day, Esteban seems to be more than he looks on the surface, the weird thing that happened in the forest, the evil queen. Things were just piling up on her plate.

She sat in the garden enjoying her evening tea, she cleared her mind and allowed for her mind to relax before she could come up with a plan to get everything back on track. She missed her grandmother, had she been with her all her problems would have been taken care of by her. She wouldn't have to worry about a single thing.

Her heart and mind were in chaos out of fear and distress. If only she could understand what had happened to her then she wouldn't have to panic so much. Esteban claimed to know the problem that was wrong with her. He could have been bluffing but Elena didn't want to take any chances. She didn't understand how she could turn into a werewolf when she is born from two pure black blood vampires.

She considered what Esteban said and as much as she wanted to get married to him she was scared of the secrets held. The devil you know is better than the angel you don't and she knew nothing of the man she wanted to live the rest of her life with. He found new ways to surprise her every day, she has always hated surprises since she was a child and didn't appreciate being kept in the dark. She had two options marry Esteban and find out what happened to her or marry someone else and forever live in fear. She couldn't live forever being afraid and insecure and she didn't want to consider living with a man she didn't like. Secrets or not she liked the werewolf prince and that didn't change despite the events that happened.

Had someone told her that her life would change completely on her birthday she would not have believed it. But here she was a few days after her birthday considering her life choices and path. She believed in paving her path and walking down it that way she won't blame anyone if anything goes wrong.

She considered all her options but couldn't find a way out of her situation except if she marries Esteban. "The plan has not gone that far off from the original path. Just a few adjustments and it will be perfect once again," she said and had her tea.

She got up after she finished her tea and went to the torture chamber. She went to the keeper and whispered a few instructions into his ear and left the house as fast as she went in. She had made the necessary adjustment needed for the plan to work. She couldn't think about anything apart from the pain she felt in the forest.

She walked over to the lake behind the palace to go for a walk, she stretched her arms in the air and took in the fresh air. She felt relieved and felt free for a while, the lake always had a way of calming her down when she was troubled in the past and it proved useful even today. She picked up some pebbles in her hands from the ground and threw them at the lake. She watched as they bounced beautifully on the water before sinking. The rhythm of it brought her comfort so she continued to play with rocks.

She let herself forget her worries for a moment and just enjoyed herself. She soon removed her shoes and ran on top of the water. Due to how fast she ran, she was able to run on water and she enjoyed it. She liked how the water felt on her feet as she ran and the splashes that were made warmed her heart. She was having the time of her life. She kicked the water and watched as the force sent the water to the shore.

"That looks fun," she heard at the shore and turned around to find none other than Elsie standing there. Her mood took a ninety degrees turn from happy to angry. She ran out of the lake to the shore, she ignored Elsie and put on her shoes.

"For how long do you plan to ignore me?" she asked.

Elena stood straight and began to walk back to the palace. "Talk to me Elena, please," she begged. Elena kept walking not looking at or replying to the girl next to her.

"I was thinking, who between the two of us gets to spend the first night with Esteban?" she asked and finally got Elena to stop.

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't pretend like you don't know what I mean Elena. I have eyes and ears everywhere in the palace and I know things," she stated.

"And what exactly do you know?"

"Only that you are in love with him and you have something planned to make him yours. Regina and Marcus being here are all you doing and since they are yet to leave your plan is not done yet. That is why I am asking about our future life partner," she said innocently.

"For your information, I have no intention of ever sharing anything with you let alone a man. Get that thought far away from your mind if you know what is good for you," Elena warned and kept walking.

"Elena," she said holding her back. "I don't want to take anything from you, I just want my friend back," she clarified.

"Your friend died years ago, I don't know where she was buried so stop following me and stay far away from me or I make you leave," she threatened and ran back to the palace to avoid ripping Elsie's heart out of her chest. Having been reminded of the past made her mood even worse. She went to the courtyard and that is when she heard the scream. She saw some daylight vampires walking into the palace screaming while they carried dead bodies.

"Perfect timing," she said and walked slowly to the throne room. She took her time to let the others try to solve the matter or at least calm the matter. Her plan was back on track and she couldn't be happier about it.

"Princess, you are needed in the throne room right away," said lady Nancy who had rushed to look for her at Lola's request.

"What happened sweetheart, why do you look so serious and worried?" she asked despite knowing the answers.

"There has been an attack and they want you to go and see if you can solve the issue as you are the future queen and the ruler of Atria in the absence of your grandmother," she said and Elena nodded her head in agreement. She let Nancy lead the way to the throne room to see how things were going.

"This is going to be so much fun," she whispered with glee as she walked to the throne room.
