When all was said and done, Li Shaoze decided to hire Mu Ziyi permanently and not temporary.
He looked at her credentials and found that she was actually a better graduate than Zhu Zijin. Her grades were exceptional and she had many experience working in the corporate field when she was at her hometown, L province.
"You'll come with me to Country E. Are you sure you want to relocate?" Li Shaoze asked her for the last time and Mu Ziyi happily accepted. It was her dream to be together with Zhu Zijin so she was fine with it.
Li Shaoze made a call to Zhu Zijin who was in Country E and asked him to draft a different contract for Mu Ziyi. He also reprimanded his assistant by not telling the truth.
"I was afraid to trouble you, sir," was what Zhu Zijin told him.
"I understand your concern but you're my special assistant. You're responsible for me 24/7 and I should take care of your interest in return. I don't want to be labeled as an insensitive employer so keep that in mind," Li Shaoze said in reproach.
When he heard that, Zhu Zijin didn't know what to exactly feel about it. He had thought of Li Shaoze as a very cold person who wouldn't even blink if one day he died from overwork. Surprisingly, he was quite considerate of his employees' well-being.
"Also, I want you to finish the small handover and come here immediately," not knowing what was going on in his assistant's head, Li Shaoze continued giving instructions.
Five minutes later, Li Shaoze was finished with his call and explained to Mu Ziyi to work along with Zhu Zijin from now on. He wouldn't call him and instead it would be her job to be a liaison.
"Have you remade my schedule?" Li Shaoze asked.
"Done, sir. I'll send you to your new house first and at four in the afternoon, you have a teleconference. At eight, you have a meeting with the project managers from... and tomorrow morning you have..." the list went on and on.
Li Shaoze hummed while he listened and told her to change the meeting in the morning tomorrow to afternoon. He planned to visit the Li's first thing so that he could get it over with.
After breakfast, Mu Ziyi drove Li Shaoze to a townhouse residential area full of greenery in the middle of the city. This residence villa was built in traditional design and one small unit was almost 9 million USD. Li Shaoze might have forgotten, but this high-end residential area was close to his old high school where he had been to. Li Shaoze wasn't picky about where he lived but he still listened to Li Junfeng that he should buy one unit here because it had a good environment and was low-key.
Li Shaoze loved to be low-key the most so he was instantly tempted. He didn't know that the unit he bought was actually right across the Pei residence.
When Mu Ziyi dropped him off, there was another car ready for her to use to go home. The one she was currently driving was Li Shaoze's low-key Volvo S90 that he just bought when he arrived here a few days ago.
Li Shaoze refused Mu Ziyi's offer to guide him in his new home as he wanted to take a look by himself. So when she was no longer present, he walked alone towards the entrance.
Li Shaoze had to cross a small wooden bridge to get to his house entrance because there was a small artificial river in front of it. The right side of the house was a small garden attached to the lake and the left side was a garage. Everywhere he stepped on was grass and expensive wood and everything he saw was plants and flowers.
The unit was in a good condition and Li Shaoze guessed it could be the work of the seller. He bought this house rather shortly after the owner decided to sell it and go abroad so he got a good bargain.
"I told you this is a great place to live," Li Junfeng was proud of himself. They were closer to Pei Qian and his plan inadvertently became easier.
"I'll live here for the time being but it'll just be temporary," Li Shaoze decided to burst his bubbles early. He had a responsibility in Country E that he could not toss away so he wanted his brother to understand.
Unknown to Li Junfeng, when Li Shaoze finally decided to take over Quze Industries someday, he would be living here in the country permanently. Because Quze Industries was actually based here in Country C by the Qin's. Only their subsidiaries were all over the world including Li Shaoze's Quze A. Investment.
Quze A. Investment was solely Li Shaoze's and it was not under Quze Industries in paper. Qin Meili gave him full autonomy on his own company to train him before he took over.
Li Junfeng actually didn't know much about how Li Shaoze was able to create his own investment company. He thought Li Shaoze was just a genius with enough funds back then. Li Shaoze had refused Li Junfeng's help when he first disappeared after graduation. As a teenager at 15, Li Junfeng was forced to see him leave without the ability to stop him.
And the next time they contacted each other, his brother was already a CEO.
Li Junfeng was proud of Li Shaoze and thought he was without backer all this time and was unaware of Qin Meili's existence even until she passed away. He never asked his brother how he lived his life and wanted to be respectful.
However, as a vice president of their own conglomerate Li Group, of course he knew of their other counterpart, Quze Industries. It was their all-time rival and opponent. Also, recently their father wanted to get in contact with Quze Industries for a joint venture but there was still no news until now.
