A New Gig

"So, can both of you do it?" Joseph asked, his gaze shifting between the two youths standing in front of him.

One of them, a young man Joseph recognized from a few other classes and auditions around town, nodded with quiet confidence. Joseph had seen him enough times to know he had potential, even if he was still rough around the edges. 

The other, however, was the real surprise—an unfamiliar face in the class, a foreigner who had joined just recently. Joseph remembered the early days when the newcomer clearly struggled to keep up, language barriers making things difficult. But over the last few days, he had noticed something unexpected. Despite the initial challenges, the foreigner showed determination, steadily improving in each class.
