Chapter 33: The tragedy

After a short while, they have reached the place of the founders.

Shuzo's fresh eyes turned to glance at Cuifen while Cuifen smile back at him with her sparkly eyes.

There was a feeling of alleviation as he looked into her eyes.

Feeling at ease, Shuzo smiled handsomely and spoke up consciously, "Let's go"

Cuifen shooked her head at it.

The two of them then came out from the elevator and entered the territory of the founders.

As they entered the place, they were left awestruck by the infrastructure of the place.

The place where founders stayed were completely different from the Vega.

All of the floors and walls were painted with white colour, therefore, the place looks somewhat unnatural.

From the looks of it, it was very clear that the founders have enjoyed a different lifestyle compared to them.

While the two were gawking at the places in awe, the minors of the founders, Luca came to greet them.

He was wearing the white colour uniforms of the special unit that is the all-white blazer and pants.

With an enchanting smile on his face, he walked up tall and handsome.

Shuzo and Cuifen both were left diverted upon seeing the face of this handsome man.

They never thought that the founders would look so young, tall and handsome.

They expected an older face since the founders are the root of all the Vega, Special unit and Furud. They expected an elderly face.

They couldn't believe the figure that stood before them. The founders looked so young and handsome as if they come straight from an anime character.

While the two were musing on his look, Luca stopped right before them and glances at them with his sharp piercing eyes.

He then spoke up coolly, "SU110 and SU111, nice to meet you. Please follow me"

Shuzo and Cuifen turned to look at each other in bewilderment.

Without a word, they deliberately shooked their head and followed him.

They followed Luca to a mysterious room.

It was a big empty room, with so many caskets made of a system glass. Looks like the system was maintaining the temperature of those caskets.

Amazed by the marvellous place, both of them turned to look around in awe. While they were envisioning it,

Luca handsomely turned to them and spoke up sharply, "Please come here"

Not understanding why he called them, Shuzo and Leina walked up to him in uneasiness.

Luca then spoke up unfeelingly, "What I am about to show you is a sad thing but...this is the least we can do for you"

Shuzo and Cuifen were left alarmed by it.

So....the founders have called them to show them the face of a deceased??!!

Just who is it inside the coffin?!

Feared by it, Cuifen asked Luca in concern, "Who died?!! Why do you have to show us??!!"

Luca didn't give them an immediate reply, instead, he turned on the switch which was on the side.

With it, the lid of the coffin was slowly opened up.

Bothered by it, the two of them curiously looked at the coffin.

Just as it opens, they saw the dead face of Leina's mother Roulan!

Her body was frozen with her eyes closed. There were no signs of life in her.

The image of the dead mother has taken a toll on them and both of them stood still in numbness.

They didn't expect this!

Just what in the world has happened to Roulan?!

Shaken by it, a silent drop of tears keep falling from Cuifen's eyes.

She turned to Luca and questioned him in disbelief, "What's the meaning of this?!"

"How did my mother die??!"

Luca didn't say a word to it, he just stood there in silence.

Not liking his unfeeling conduct, Shuzo furiously grabbed him by his collar and questioned him fiercely, "Explained this?! How did she die?! And Where is my father???!! Didn't you call to meet them?!"

Luca deliberately shakes off Shuzo's hands from him.

He then replied unemotionally, "I wouldn't be calling you two if I wouldn't explain the reason?!"

He then glances at them and spoke up callously, "AU119 and AU117 didn't come to meet us instead we have sent them to a special mission, on the West Coast street. They are to hunt down the newly mutated species that is DNAA1.

During their hunt for the species, the bunch of hostile locals that were there have targeted them and started to attack.

It was our mistake to ignore the locals there and to send only the two of them on the mission.

By the time we have sent the reinforcement, the locals have already shot AU117 death and AU119 was left infected by the deadly species in the combat"

The two of them were left stupefied by it.

They didn't expect such a drastic turnaround in their lives.

They clearly remembered the faces of their parents. They were energetic and was full of vigour.

Everything happened too sudden to believe. They didn't foresee their downfall.

One of their parents have now been shot to death and was in the cascade and another was left infected with the species.

It was the most horrendous thing they could ever see and hear.

Believing their every word, Shuzo asked Luca alarmingly, "Where is my father??!! Where is AU119??!!"

Luca looks at him with his sharp piercing eyes, he then took out the tablet of the founders.

He turned on the video record of Akihiro's experiment and showed it to them.

In the video, Akihiro was being kept inside the experiment tank and the founders were seen observing his condition.

He was seriously infected by an unknown species and was in bad shape. Unable to bear it, Akihiro was screaming in pain, asking for help.

The founders have made up the entire story believably. They are now making Shuzo and Cuifen believe in it while all they were doing all these times, were experimenting Akihiro with the alien species.

Shuzo was left different by the shocking change of his father.

His whole face was disfigured. It was dreadful for Shuzo to see him in that dire state. Everything that has happened was so harsh and cruel that both of them were having it devastating to handle.

Yearning to meet his father, Shuzo anxious eyes turned to Luca and questioned him tensely, "Where is the experiment room?! Let me check on my father! Let me meet him!"
