Chapter 35: Broken family

Shuzo and Cuifen on the side were inside the elevator. They were on their way back towards their unit.

As they headed back, there was pin-drop silence between them.

Because of the things that have happened both of them were not feeling like speaking.

Shuzo on the side was standing there in stillness while Cuifen was left musing over the things that have happened.

She was still not over the fact that she had wept over the death of Leina's mother.

Even though Roulan wasn't her real mother, she felt the intense pain deep inside her heart. It was as if she was bearing the loss of a truly beloved person.

Cuifen still couldn't believe that she was feeling everything as if the body was her own.

It's as if everything that concerned the body now concerned her as well.

Her dazed mind looked down in vain. She doesn't know what the hell it was. Why it happened the way it happened. Everything was so mystifying.

She then contemplated that since the mother of this body is now dead, therefore there are no real relatives for her on this planet anymore.

She was all alone. All by herself.

She has lost the only blood relative of the body.

As she continued to meditate over it...

She now realised that she is on her own for real!

Since Roulan had died and Akihiro has been treated with a weird disease then there will be no marriage happening between the two!

Then that means Shuzo and she will not become a stepbrother and sisters but complete total strangers!

There is no connection between them!

As Cuifen thought it over she was left even more horrified.

She will now be left all alone in this horrifying world.

Troubled by it, she turned to look at Shuzo who was standing there in silence.

He was just as much devastated as she is.

As Cuifen's cute eyes continued to stare at him.

Shuzo instantly meet her eyes and caught her off guard.

He looked deeply at Cuifen's startled face and spoke up determined, "Leina..even though your mother had died and our parents didn't get to marry, you will still be my sister. I will protect you"

Cuifen felt the confidence and protectiveness inside the eyes of Shuzo.

This guy means what he says.

A ray of hope seems to instantly sparkle as Cuifen saw the seriousness in his eye. She is safe by his side.

Stimulated by it, Cuifen reacted to it boldly, "Of course, you have to protect me. I am on my own now"

Shuzo was left assured by Leina's words.

He was happy that Leina still thinks of him as her brother.

He was relieved by it.

Cuifen then turned at him and look at him in the eye.

She then warned him strictly, "You have to keep your words no matter what. Don't you ever betray me? I hate betrayal the most!"

There was sternness and sharpness in it as Cuifen says it.

Shuzo was left intimated by it.

He could feel that Leina was strongly against betrayal. She means what she had said.

Taken aback by it, he responds gently, "Don't you worry, I won't ever betray you, Leina"

Cuifen's cute eyes turned to Shuzo and smile livelily.

There was something about the smile of Leina that made Shuzo able to forget the pain of the world even for a moment.

It was healing to his soul.

Soon after a while, both have arrived at their destination.

The two moved forth and Shuzo opened their unit door.

As they get inside, Shuzo turned to Leina and spoke up collected, '"Leina wear the back clothes"

Cuifen didn't understand what he meant by it, therefore, she, in turn, inquired Shuzo in puzzlement, "Shuzo, what do you mean? You said there is no funeral ceremony?"

Shuzo explained to it gently, "You are right, the traditions of the funeral ceremony has been long gone but still I want to take you somewhere maybe, your heart will get better by it"

Comprehending it, Cuifen replied to it plainly, "Then...I will wear the black dress"

Shuzo shooked his head at it and Leina went inside her room.

It appears that Shuzo has been thinking for Leina all this while.

Even though he ain't able to give the funeral ceremony for her mother, Roulan, he wanted to do what he feels right.

He had already thought about it.

With it, he gets inside his room and changed himself into an all-black suit.

His hair was too neatly gel making him look dashing.

Feeling renewed, Shuzo came out of his room.

As soon as he came out, he meets

Leina wearing all-black pants and a black shirt.

She looks cool and powerful and hot at the same time.

Diverted by it, Shuzo asked her composedly, "What's wrong with your dress?!"

Cuifen replied to it simply, "I don't have a black dress. This is the only thing I can find"

Shuzo shooked his head at it and spoke up gently, "Then..this will do. Let's go"

"Between...where are we going exactly?!", Cuifen asked him in curiousness.

" You will know soon", Shuzo replied hopefully.

The two of them then came out from their unit, used the electronic elevator and headed towards the main hall of the Vega.

Arriving there, they saw a swarm of people on the corner.

They all were busy looking at the screen.

It seems that something important has been announced there.

Wondered by it, Cuifen turned to Shuzo and spoke up alert, "Shuzo something important seems to have been announced there"

Shuzo's sharp eyes turned to take a quick look at it.

He then picked Leina's focus from there and spoke up in the stern, "Nothing important. Don't mind it. We better get going"

He forcibly dragged Leina out from there.

Since Shuzo says that it was nothing important Cuifen believe it.

She instead followed him and the two of them moved to the parking arena of the giant Vega.

There in the parking space were the varieties of luxury cars that were owned by the Special Unit.
