Christmas gift

"HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!" 

I hear Charles voice from downstairs and I groan.

He should have been my mom's sibling.

I didn't sleep until late last night because of Jaxon. After the party ended last night, Jaxon stayed behind with Chelsea and they helped me clean up. 

We didn't properly clean up the house until it was three in the morning. 

After that, Jaxon and I had a early morning talk about nothing and everything. 

He didn't leave here until five in the morning.

And now uncle Charles is waking me up at, 

I check the time on my bedside table.

Eight fifteen in the freaking morning!!!

I sit up with a grunt. Although I was happy that it's Christmas, but waking up after having less than eight hours of sleep isn't my jam.

I stand up, shower and get dressed.

Since I wasn't going anywhere today, I decided to wear a green oversized shirt, with black shorts and red socks.

I hurry downstairs to see my family already gathered round the dinner table.

Uncle Charles walks to me and ruffles my hair.

"Dad! Your little brother is bullying me!' I shout as I sit.

"Charles, leave my little girl alone." My dad warns him and I stick out my tongue to him.

He also sticks out his tongue and I shake my head.

"Breakfast is served." My mom says as she sets out pancakes on the table. 

She aslo sets cinnamon rolls, bacon and the likes on the table.

After breakfast, we all gathered to the living room and shared presents.

My dad got me a new pair of white sneakers. My mom got me a new MacBook that I've been eyeing for a while, and uncle Charles got me a silver rolex day date watch.

"It's either that or a key to a new apartment." Uncle Charles says.

"No way." I look at him in shock.

"It's still on standby if you want it." He winks and I gasps.

"No way!!!" I shout.

"Yes way!" He shouts back.

After, I gave everyone my gifts. A scarf for my mom, a new tie for my dad, and a customized pen for uncle Charles with his name written on it.

My phone rings and I check the caller ID to see it's Jaxon.

"Merry Christmas Hathaway." 

"Merry Christmas to you too Prinston." Uncle Charles looks at me and raises an eyebrow.

I give him a blank look and I stand up to leave the room.

"So what are you doing today?" 

"Nothing more than just sitting around with my family." 

"Wanna hang out with me?"

"Are you asking me out Jaxon Prinston?"

"If Summer Hathaway would have me."

"Then yes. She'd be delighted to hang out with you today." 

"Meet me at the park in thirty?" He asks.

"Deal." I hang up and turn to my parents.

"Hey guys I'm going to hang out with Jaxon today. Is that okay?" 

"No problem." My mom says.

"Be good kids." My dad says.

"Wear the watch out and feel the power of Rolex!!!" Uncle Charles shouts and I roll my eyes.

I hurry upstairs to go dress.

I decided to wear a white crop top, black plaid pants, a denim blue jacket on top, and black ankle boots.

I wore the Rolex watch and finished the look with a black small cross bag.

I walk back downstairs and Charles walks up to me.

"Wanna take my car?" He asks and I shake my head.

"He told me to meet him at the park. So we're probably walking all through today.

"So?" 

"So I called a cab." I smile at him and walk out the door.

"Bye guys!!!!!" I shout.

"Byeeee."

"Later kiddo."

"See ya!" 

They all said together.

In five minutes, my cab arrived. In twenty minutes, I got to the park and I paid for my ride.

 I called Jaxon and I saw him walking towards me. 

"Hey you." He smiles at me and he hugs me.

"Hiiiii." I smile back. 

When he pulls away, he takes my hand in his.

"I got you something for Christmas." 

"What?" 

He puts his hand in his pocket and brings out a small box.

I open the box to see a small penguin shaped pendant.

I bring out the necklace and I look at Jaxon.

"Penguin?"

"What can I say? I found my penguin." He smiles.

"It's pretty." I smile. "Thanks."

"Want me to help you put it on?" He asks.

"Please." 

I turn around and he helps me with the necklace.

"Is this a new watch?"

"Yeah. My uncle got it for me."

"It's nice." 

I turn around and I touched the penguin necklace. "I love it. My turn." 

I open my bag and bring out a silver chain bracelet for him.

"I didn't know what to write on it, so I wrote my name instead." 

"I love it." He smiles. 

He holds out his wrist and I put it on for him.

He smiles at it and holds my hand again. "Let's walk away our minds today!!!" He shouts.

"Yay!!!" I shout back and we both laugh.

We walked everywhere. We literally walked the whole city.

We went to a Christmas show downtown, we saw a Christmas parade, we ate lunch at Christmas themed restaurant, we had coffee with Santa and his elves, we took different pictures, both alone and together.

All in all, we had a blast.

 By evening, we had walked everywhere and we gathered at the town square for the Christmas tree lightening.

"In a few minutes, the biggest tree in town will be lighted!!!" The mc shouts and everyone shouts.

We were all standing around the big tree and the town square was fully packed.

"How are you feeling?" Jaxon asks.

"Cold. A little bit hungry also."

"Want me to get you a bagel and coffee?" He asks.

"Yeah but let it be after the tree lights up." 

"I bet I can get back before it does."

"I wanna see you try."

"Okay then." He pecks my lip and walks away from me.

"Now for the countdown!" 

"Ten!"

Everyone starts to shout.

"Nine!"

I decided to join in.

"Eight!"

I looked around although I couldn't find Jaxon anywhere.

"Seven!"

Where could he have gone to?

"Six!"

It's almost time.

"Five!"

My phone dings in my pocket and I bring it out.

"Four!" 

"HO HO HO. MERRY CHRISTMAS! WHAT'S A CHRISTMAS WITHOUT GIFTS? WHAT'S A CHRISTMAS WITHOUT TEARS? WHAT'S A CHRISTMAS WITHOUT RED???"

"Three!" 

"DARLING, HERE'S MY CHRISTMAS GIFT TO YOU." 

"Two!"

"MERRY CHRISTMAS."

"One!!!"

 The tree lights up in steps and it shined brightly.

I looked around frantically looking for Jaxon when I see him a few steps from me.

I sigh in relief and he holds up my bagel and coffee and waves it around.

I laugh because of his silliness and someone bumps his shoulder.

His smile drops and his hand slowly drops.

He looks at me in horror and shock and my smile also drops.

My phone beeps again and I look at lt.

"THIS IS JUST A WARNING." 

I slowly look at Jaxon and I see him slowly look at his stomach.

Right there, by the side of his stomach, was a wound on him, and he was bleeding.

He looks at me again before he gives me a small, weak smile and drops to the floor.

A second later, I heard an ear piercing scream. 

Little did I know, that scream had come from me.
