The Rolling Behemoth

'Fuck!' Sydra thinks, looking up at the tail which is at least seven meters in height. The tail completely wraps around Sydra, and the only way for him to leave the hill is to climb over it. 'At least the beast didn't wake up, I don't think I could take it on,'

Walking over to the tail, Sydra reaches out his hand and grabs a clump of the beast's hair. Gently tugging on it, Sydra watches the beast make sure it doesn't wake up. Satisfied, he reaches his other hand up and starts climbing up the tail.

'At least it isn't too hard to climb, and as long as I can get to the top, then I can just jump off,' Sydra thinks, his hands full of clumps of hair. Reaching the stop, Sydra rests for a second as he peers down the other side. 'I'm going to have land carefully, that way my feet don't make any sounds,'

Hoping off the tail, Sydra rolls as he hits the ground to limit the sound created, and manages to keep it down to a small thud. The only problem is that the thud is just loud enough to stir the beast from its slumber. Opening one of its eyes, the beast lazily glances around the cave, his eye passing over the shadow Sydra is hiding in.

'Come on, please don't notice me,' Sydra prays as he attempts to fade deeper into the shadow. Seeing nothing, the beast closes its eye and yawns deeply, the air being sucked into his mouth causing Sydra to skid across the floor.

Its ears twitching, the beast opens both its eyes this time and looks directly in the direction of Sydra. Still seeing nothing, the beast begins to feel paranoid and presses its lips together. Inhaling deeply, the beast blows a gust of wind in Sydra's direction, causing his cloak to flutter around and reveal his hiding spot.

"Could we just pretend I was never here?" Sydra asks, before running towards the entrance of the cave. Roaring, the beast slams its tail into the spot Sydra had been standing, causing cracks to form as the ground breaks apart.

Jumping over one of the cracks, Sydra rushes out of the cave and grabs the Wisp, turning towards the direction they had come. Behind him, the beast makes its way out of the cave, its full height reaching twenty meters in height.

"I'm hoping it will be slow, with all that weight it has to carry," Sydra says, glancing back towards the Rolling Behemoth. Other than its white fur, the beast also had two green horns between its eyes, as well as one long green spike sticking out from the tip of its tail.

Bending its legs, the beast's eyes narrow on Sydra's running figure, and it launches itself off the ground. Flying through the air, the beast lands on the ground in front of Sydra, forcing him to change his direction. "I guess that proves it isn't slow,"

Being chased by the beast, Sydra is forced to go in the direction of a ravine created by several cliffs. Following him in, the beast slams its tail into the side of one of the cliffs, causing it to shatter. This creates a rockslide that blocks off any of Sydra's escape routes, leaving him stuck in the ravine with the beast.

"I guess it's just you and me, then," Sydra says, activating his magnetism aura to attack the Rolling Behemoth with the silver spikes. Before any of the spikes have the chance to hit it, the beast curls up into a ball, using its tail to propel itself.

Shooting forward, the beast rolls across the ravine walls, its speed increasing every time it slams its tail into the ground. Gathering enough speed, the beast flings off of the ravine wall, the horns on its head pointing directly at Sydra.

"Crap, it's coming at me too fast to dodge, all I can do is try to withstand its attack," Sydra says, activating his bone armor. Crossing his arms in front of his face, Sydra braces himself for the impact of the beast.

Suddenly, the beast slams its tail into the ground, shooting itself into the sky above Sydra's head. This gives Sydra just enough time to slam his palm into the ground and call forth the Ancient Root Defense.

'I doubt that this will be able to withstand its attack, so I need to come up with a way to escape, and quickly,' Sydra thinks, his eyes darting through the roots as he tracks the movement of the Rolling Behemoth. Just before it slams into the defensive barrier, Sydra manipulates the silver spikes to form a large spike that reaches the top of the roots.

With the full weight of the beast coming down on the Ancient Root Defense, the Rolling Behemoth snaps the roots into pieces, its attack only hindered slightly. Continuing on, the beast then slams into the silver spike, only for the tough hide on its shoulder to be pierced clean through.

Seeing this, Sydra pumps his fist into the air, before turning around to escape. Behind him, the Rolling Behemoth howls as it pulls the spike out its shoulder, before tossing it like a spear directly towards Sydra's back.

"I was worried I wouldn't get this back," Sydra says, using his magnetic field to collect the pieces of the silver spike and return them to his bag. Roaring in frustration, the Rolling Behemoth curls back into a ball to catch up to Sydra, only to find its movement offset by the wound in its shoulder.

While the Rolling Behemoth is busy attempting to rebalance itself, Sydra takes the opportunity to go further into the ravine. Following the cliffs, he hears the sound of water running, causing him to increase his speed. 'If there is water ahead, then I could use my water manipulation to get myself out of here,'

With the sound of water trickling turning into that of it cascading, Sydra finds himself looking towards a large waterfall that crashes into a small pond. His approach causes the creatures drinking from the pond to scatter, but he pays them no heed as he jumps into the water, unaware of the danger lurking beneath.

Glancing behind him, Sydra sees the Rolling Behemoth come to an abrupt stop a ways away from the pond, the hair on its back going straight up. In confusion, Sydra halts his collection of the water molecules, and searches the surface of the water, 'Is it afraid of the water, or something inside it?'

Thinking about the fact that there could be something hiding beneath the water that was powerful enough to even scare the Rolling Behemoth, Sydra turns around to swim back to the shore. Before he can get too far, the water beneath him erupts abruptly, and the figure of a man shoots out of it.

The only problem was that the man had the face of a water parasite, and it was hungrily glancing between Sydra and the Rolling Behemoth, "Where are the two of you trying to go? After coming all the way here, you should at least stay until lunch is done,"

Coming to a stop, Sydra raises both his hands, secretly swirling the water beneath the surface of the pond, "I'm sorry, I already ate lunch before I came here,"

Turning to face Sydra, the man began to laugh, his parasitic jaw quivering, "Haha, I guess what I really meant to say was... You're going to stay and be my lunch,"

Lunging forward, the man reaches out his clawed hands towards Sydra's neck, only to be blasted out of the pond by a spout of water. Flipping through the air, the man turns his gaze in the direction the Rolling Behemoth, and adjusts his body mid air.

"Hopefully they fight one another, and give me the chance to escape," Sydra says, watching the man land on the Rolling Behemoth's back and sink its parasitic fangs into the beasts back. Within the next two seconds, Sydra watched the Rolling Behemoth go from a massive beast, to just a pile of skin hanging off of a bone rack.

Jumping off the dead body of the Rolling Behemoth, the man turns its face to look at Sydra, the aura around it twice as powerful as when it left the water, "That was a tasty snack, but it was only enough to let me deal with you,"

As the man raises his hand, Sydra feels the water around him start to tighten in. Fighting it off with his own aura, Sydra released the silver spikes and sent them flying towards the man. Laughing agina, the man knocks the spikes out of the air with his bare hands, before flashing across the water and grabbing Sydra by the neck.

"I can feel the aura hidden within your body, and it looks delicious. Why don't you let me take a taste of it?" The man asks, his mouth inches away from Sydra's neck. Suddenly, the man draws back and looks down at the water in confusion, "Thats odd, why do I feel someone watching me?"

Letting go of Sydra, the man turns around in the water, his eyes darting back and forth over it, "Whose there? You best show yourself, or I'll...". The parasitic man is unable to finish his threat, as the water beneath his feet drags him under the surface.
