Lightning Wind Bolt

A few minutes pass before all the dust on the field passes, allowing everyone to see who the winner was. Standing in the center of the arena was Indra, and he was holding Atler by the back of his torn shirt. It appeared that at the exact moment the explosion went off, Indra had covered his entire body with the densest wall of flame he could muster, keeping most of himself and the vital parts of Atler from being destroyed.

Of course, this didn't mean that either of them escaped completely unscathed, as Indra had lost half of his foot, and both of Atler's legs were missing. As the healers raced out onto the field, Vict finished announcing the winner.

"It seems that the victory goes to Indra, and he will be moving onto the next round after his injuries have been tended to," Vict announces, before looking towards the area where Sydra was waiting with Jason and the others, "The next contestants will be... Jason Hilst and Grace Wreath!"

Hearing his name called, Jason hopped over the railing and landed inside the Grassy Terrain, before making his way over to the center of the field. Along the way, he passed by Indra, who was being carried on a stretcher by two healers.

"You should hurry up and get yourself healed, or you might miss my battle," Jason says, slapping Indra's outstretched hand, "I want you to see what I've managed to accomplish these past few days,"

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to watch," Indra says as the healers carry him away, leaving Jason standing alone in the middle of the field. Suddenly, a girl with long black hair walks out from behind him, her presence being untraceable to most people underneath S-rank.

'This must be Grace, and it seems she has really impressive stealth abilities,' Jason thinks as he stares into Grace's raven-like eyes, which seem to be prying into the deepest parts of his soul.

"Interesting, I might have to go all out right from the start with you," Grace says, before turning her attention to Vict who was disabling the Grass Rune, and activating a new one.

As the grassy plains disappear, a rune in the shape of a mountain lights up with a grey color, and two mountains appear on either side of the arena. Between the two mountains is a maze of canyons pocketed with holes and tunnels.

'Looks like I won't be able to fly in this match, as there aren't even clouds left in the sky to hide behind,' Jason thinks, turning his attention to the tunnels, 'I wonder if I could do something in there?'

Once Vict was done changing the Terrain, both Jason and Grace made their way to the tops of the mountains on either side. Standing at the top of the mountain, Jason watched Grace do the same, and the two of them stared at each other until the fireball initialized the start of the battle.

Activating the wind aura behind his back, Jason shot towards one of the tunnels in the canyon walls, a green blur being the only thing people saw of him. Reaching the entrance of the tunnel, Jason sent a blast of wind through it to map out the tunnel and figure out where it led.

'I'm glad Sydra mentioned using my ability like this, otherwise, I would have never thought of it,' Jason thinks as he studies a small green map hovering above his hand. The map is three-dimensional, and as the wind sweeps through the tunnels, more parts of the map come into existence.

'It looks like some of these tunnels lead into traps, but I'll be fine with this map,' Jason thinks as he steps into the tunnel. Following the map, he flies through the tunnels, making abrupt turns every few moments. Suddenly, Jason comes to a halt, unable to move any farther as there is a wall blocking his path.

"Odd, the map shows that this way is clear," Jason says, checking the map again to make sure he didn't make a mistake. However, the map continued to say that this way was clear, and Jason was left with no choice but to check it out for himself. Canceling his flight ability, Jason walks over and hesitantly raises his hand towards the wall, only to find his hand passing through the wall.

'It's... an illusion?' Jason thinks as his body passes through the entire wall, 'Is this part of the Terrain, or is this Grace's ability?'

Thinking about it, Jason realized that the Terrain would never have fake walls, as even the traps were simple pitfalls and other such things. This meant that Grace had the ability to set up powerful illusions, ones that gave off the same presence as the real thing.

"That will be annoying," Jason says, going back to following his map through the tunnels. Speeding through the tunnels, Jason reaches the other side quickly, but he stops right before leaving the canyon. Looking around, Jason finds Grace still standing in the same spot on her mountain, her eyes closed as her fingers danced in the air.

Each movement of her fingers sent out a wave of energy, which slightly changed the arena in one way or another. Feeling like this would be the best time to attack, Jason creates a green sphere of wind. The sphere is the size of a golf ball, and as it condenses, Jason fills it with lightning aura.

"This should do it," Jason says, launching the sphere towards Grace. The sphere spins through the air, its speed increasing with each rotation all the way until it passes through Grace's head.

"Was that really all you had?" a voice asks from behind Jason. Whipping around, he finds Grace lunging towards him with a dagger made from condensed lightning. Manipulating the wind around his body, Jason flings himself out of the way of the dagger.

'Crap, where did she go?' Jason thinks as he stumbles back. After Grace had missed with the dagger, she had ran towards a wall, disappearing as she ran into it. However, Jason wasn't sure if she had even been the real one, as the wall she ran into was solid.

Unsure of what was real, and what wasn't Jason started creating multiple Lightning Wind Bolts and firing them in all directions, causing the crowd to cheer as explosions went off.

All of a sudden Jason found a dagger being held to his neck, the crackling lightning leaving a small cut on his skin. The dagger was being held by Grace, who was breathing heavily as blood leaked out from the side of her mouth. It seemed that she had been hiding behind a fake canyon wall, and when Jason threw all of the Lightning Wind Bolts out, one of them had hit her.

"Your finished, surrender!" She whispered into his ear, moving the lightning dagger slightly to dig its edge further into Jason's neck. The blade was held at such an angle that Jason didn't even have room to move, let alone escape.

'I guess now would be the time to try it out,' Jason thinks, creating a portal of wind beneath Grace and himself. With the ground abruptly disappearing from beneath her feet, Grace loosens her hold on the dagger, allowing Jason to break free. Whipping around, Jason wraps his arms around Grace and pulls her through the portal with him.

...

"I didn't know he could pull people into his portal with him, I wonder what's going on inside," Indra says, his eyes focused on the green vortex. He had finished being healed a while ago and immediately came back to watch the fight with Sydra.

"I guess it makes sense, if Jason can enter it, why can't others. My only concern is what happens to the others when they enter," Sydra responds, his gaze focused on the terrain instead. Sydra thought it would be wise to study the different terrains, that way when it came to be his turn he would have a better understanding of them.

...

Inside of the green vortex, Grace found herself floating on top of a gust of wind within a small world. The edges of the world were blocked off with walls of wind that pushed back anyone who got too close, and there were even beasts that lived in this world.

The beasts were long green snakes that had fins going down their sides, allowing them to glide in the wind. Standing on top of one of those snakes was Jason, his body covered in green armor.

"I wanted to save this ability for later, but you proved to be more resourceful than I thought," Jason says, his eyes narrowing, "But there is no chance for your power to work in here,"

Glaring at Jason, Grace tried to move her body, but she found that it was stuck to the wind below her, "Why can't I move?!"

"You want to move?" Jason asks, a smirk forming on his face, "I can make that happen,"

Flicking his hand, Jason controls the gust of wind that Grace is on, sending it zipping up and down across the sky. The speed of the wind quickly passed the sound barrier, and Grace found herself passing out, unable to lift even a finger.

"Stop!... please..." Grace shouts out as she starts to feel light headed from the blood leaving her head.
