Loss of moonlight

Time usually passes very quickly, but tonight feels very long. Anthony can't wait for tomorrow to arrive until he chooses to sit on top of the tower so he can see the forest where Airin lives.

The forest looks very dark, no light in the slightest makes Anthony feel increasingly anxious thinking about how Airin will get through the dark night alone.

Anthony ducked for a moment so that he could suppress his longing for Airin and how surprised Anthony was when he re-established his head and saw a bright light from inside the forest.

Anthony immediately stood up to ascertain what light made the forest suddenly bright.

"Fire!" Anthony was so shocked, he didn't think long anymore and immediately jumped down from the top of the tower thousands of feet away and then ran fast like the wind blowing, jumping from one roof to another making the clan of vampires in hiding thinks if there was a human infiltrating.

Until finally Anthony arrives in front of a gate made of towering steel that is even higher than the height of the palace and cannot be opened with just one vampire, but with his power, Anthony can open it with a single beat.

The guards were so shocked when they heard the sound of the gate open, they immediately came out of their hiding place with their swords but they found no one but prince Anthony who had run so far.

One of the guards immediately reports to the court about Anthony's departure while the other ten guards attempt to re-close the gate.

The king who was gathering with the other nobles immediately fell silent when a gatekeeper entered the palace, meaning the kingdom of Etona was in danger.

"What brings you here? Is there an attack from the human?" Ask Arthur.

The gatekeeper then replied. "Prince Anthony had just left the palace, he opened the gates by himself and ran very fast."

Of course, the reports made by the gatekeepers made the vampire nobles start to tiptoe because that meant Anthony didn't lose his power at all even when the lunar eclipse occurred.

Alexander who just arrived is also no less surprised, he still doesn't fully believe what Anthony said when threatening him before, but now he believes that Anthony will threaten his position as crown prince now

"Prince Anthony hasn't lost his strength, does that mean he's..." The prime minister couldn't say if Anthony was the god of the moon, the legend of the first vampire present in the universe. Vampires with the highest and eternal power.

Arthur knew it for a long time even when Anthony was still unborn, but Arthur deliberately hid it, he did not want Anthony's power to threaten Alexander's position. He only wanted his two sons to live in harmony without contesting the throne.

"Your Majesty, please tell us. Is prince Anthony the god of the moon?" Urging the other nobles to make Alexander's heart boil, he couldn't stand how everyone was talking about Anthony when he was the first prince, he should have earned that respect and instead of Anthony, he was just a cold-blooded vampire who bowed to a witch.

"That's right, prince Anthony is the god of the moon," Arthur replied, he noticed how Alexander's expression today, it is clear that Alexander is very angry now.

"Then we should consider prince Anthony's position as crown prince." The prime minister suddenly gave a proposal that was approved by several other nobles.

"No way!" Alexander shouted loudly and instantly the atmosphere became quiet.

Anthony tried to run as fast as he could, he didn't care if there would be a human being who saw his movement and archery, right now all he had in mind was Airin.

Anthony's breath gasped, he paused when he saw Airin's house was on fire and some witches were trying to put out the fire.

"Airin!" Anthony's screams made all the witches who were trying to put out the fire turn towards him.

"Prince Anthony!" shouted the young witch who had previously met him in the woods as he delivered an Airin letter to him.

"Where's Airin?" Ask Anthony, he grabbed the boy's arm which kept crying.

"The fire is so big, we'll be wiped out if it's hit by fire and the great witch is inside. Please save the great witch, prince. I beg you to save princess Airin."

Not waiting any longer, Anthony immediately broke into Airin's house which had been surrounded by fire and smoky.

"Airin! Airin, where are you?" Anthony screams while trying to find Airin's whereabouts in her room but Airin is not in there.

Anthony then looks for Airin in another room, she likes to be in her library so Anthony immediately runs there.

The door opens and he sees Airin lying down, the bookshelves burning gloriously lose the balance and almost fall off but Anthony at his speed immediately hugs Airin's body so that Airin does not fall on the big bookshelf.

Anthony's body was slightly pushed, but he managed to hold the bookshelf with one hand and then blow it in a different direction.

"Anthony..." Airin's voice is barely audible. "You found me."

"Hang in there, honey." Anthony was just going to hold Airin's body but Airin refused.

"It's too late." Say Airin in the rest of her consciousness.

"What are you saying? you will surely survive!" Anthony said, he never saw Airin in such a helpless state, his heart was instantly broken but Airin still did not want to be carried by him.

"Your curse doesn't apply to me. I can't go looking for you anymore."

Airin's breath is increasingly choked, with the rest of her energy Airin gives a badge on her hand that turns out to be covered in blood and makes Anthony realize if Airin's back is stuck with a dagger made of black steel.

"What happened to you? Who did this to you, Airin?" Asked Anthony, he couldn't hold back his tears anymore and started crying.

"Don't cry, I can't see my lover crying like this..."

"No, hang in there. I'll save you."

Anthony immediately held Airin's body, he kicked the window glass until it shattered and then jumped down.

Airin's condition shocked the witches.

"What happened to her, prince?" Ask the witches.

Anthony can't answer, he's too scared to lose Airin until he just keeps running but all of a sudden time seems to stop, Anthony can see if the fallen leaf floats in the air and doesn't move one bit then he turns towards Airin's house and everything doesn't move.

"Why are you like this? Why are you doing this to me, Airin? I beg you not to law me this way."

Anthony fell to his knees and cried, he continued to hug Airin's drooping body helplessly.

"Why are you hurting me this way? If you want me not to see you again then I'll do it as long as you stay alive. Airin please, don't leave me Airin."

"I'm sorry, Anthony. I love you more than I love the universe, but my only time is here."

"No... No... No Airin, I've given you half my life. You can't leave me, Airin. I can't, I can't live without you."

"I'm sorry, I'm just giving you pain."

Airin finally breathed her last breath and time went back.

"No Airin! Don't leave me Airin, please come back, come back to me Airin."

Anthony's cries and cries were no longer useful, Airin's body was already lifeless and slowly she turned into millions of fireflies that flew into the sky, and instantly the sky became bright as if daylight had arrived and the moon was again visible in the sky.

All the witches are crying, they've lost the moon goddess who's been protecting them.

Anthony was still crying when he saw the royal badge that Airin had previously given him while she was dying.

Someone from his kingdom has killed Airin making Anthony even more feel like he failed to protect Airin.

"I will find you even if the moon hides you then I will split the moon to find you."
