I trust you

Anthony woke up from his sleep when he felt Airin's power. He was sure if it was Airin.

He quickly jumped out of bed and saw the moon shining brightly in the sky, the full moonlight that looked bigger than usual.

"I knew it was you..."

Anthony clutched his chest that felt tight, he remembered the last time he felt Airin's power that felt like anger.

***Flashback***

Anthony had just arrived to meet Airin again, since their first meeting, Anthony couldn't stop thinking about the girl so after he finished his task, he sneaked back into the wizarding kingdom.

Anthony looked for Airin down the river where they last met and separated.

But when he got there, there was no Airin anywhere.

"Airin... Princess Airin!" Anthony shouted, but he still didn't get the answer so Anthony continued to look for Airin following the river flow until finally, he saw Airin standing on a large rock right on the edge of a waterfall that was rushing down through the rock where Airin was standing.

"Airin!" Anthony shouted once again and this time Airin realized it, she looked at him then turned her face away again.

Even though it was only a glance, Anthony could see that Airin was crying up there.

Anthony ran fast to get to Airin, he didn't care if there was a witch who saw him use his power because all he could think about was Airin, the girl didn't look fine and Anthony had not had time to reach Airin's place, Airin had dropped her body into the flowing waterfall. down.

"Airin!" Anthony shouted, he stretched out his hand hoping that Airin would reach him but Airin ignored him and let her body fall into the bottom of a very high waterfall with a strong current.

"AIRIN!" Anthony shouted until his face turned red, he could no longer see Airin's body after her body disappeared into the water and without thinking, Anthony immediately jumped from the top of the waterfall and hoped that he could still save Airin.

Anthony endured pain all over his body as his body hit a waterfall that felt like a very hard chunk of ice. Anthony's vision was blurry, his body seemed unable to withstand the pain he was feeling but then the image of Airin sinking very deeply made Anthony instantly forget the pain.

Anthony swam deeper so that he could reach Airin who seemed to be unconscious.

Anthony tried to swim as fast as he could so he could reach Airin's hand before he completely lost her.

Anthony's breath was already above his head, he could barely breathe but he kept swimming until he finally managed to reach Airin.

He pulled Airin into his arms and carried her swimming up.

Anthony took a deep breath as he finally managed to swim to the surface of the water.

"Airin... Airin wakes up..." Anthony patted Airin's cheek which was already pale but Airin was still unconscious while looking around in all directions to find a closer riverbank.

After finding him, Anthony swam back into the swift current of the river and tried to climb the shore.

"Airin... Airin, please wake up..." Anthony shook Airin's body when he arrived at the mainland, it seemed as if the current carried them away into the middle of a dense, uninhabited forest.

Anthony couldn't ask anyone for help, he put his ear to Airin's chest and tried to listen to her heartbeat.

Anthony could still feel Airin's heartbeat although it was slow, he then gave Airin artificial respiration.

"Airin, please wake up..." Anthony panicked even more because even though he gave artificial respiration to Airin and pressed his stomach so that Airin vomited the water he swallowed, Airin still didn't move.

"Please wake up, Airin..." Anthony hugged Airin's body which felt very cold while crying, he didn't want to lose Airin and Airin's current state made her very scared.

Anthony continued to hug Airin's body tightly until finally, Airin coughed.

Airin vomited water which she accidentally swallowed while Anthony helped her by patting Airin's back lightly.

"Thank God..." Anthony can breathe a sigh of relief now, he smiled as he continued to stare at Airin but Airin instead looked at him annoyed and a second later she slapped Anthony so hard that Anthony's body crashed into a big tree trunk.

Anthony grimaced from the pain in his back, he was still tired from swimming earlier and Airin slapped him so hard that the corner of his lips bled.

Anthony was still sitting where he was when the wind suddenly blew hard as if a storm had suddenly come.

Birds that originally perched on tree branches were seen flying in unison.

The clear sky slowly changed color and a black aura seemed to cover Airin's body.

Her white hair seemed to slowly turn black while her eyes darkened.

"WHY DID YOU SAVE ME?!" Airin shouted, her voice was so loud that it exceeded the loudness of the thunder that rumbled.

"What's the matter with you, Airin?"

Anthony slowly got up, he tried to approach Airin but the tree roots behind his body suddenly moved and pulled his leg, causing Anthony to fall.

"I should have died, but you kept me alive in this cursed world!"

Airin moved her hand up and instantly Anthony's body floated in the air then Airin quickly lowered her hand so that Anthony's body fell to the ground.

Anthony felt all his bones were crushed, he tried to lift his face and saw how Airin's hair kept moving and turned black, she didn't look like the innocent girl he last saw months ago.

"Why don't you want to live?" Anthony asked as he crawled closer to Airin, he knew his body would recover soon but he still forced himself to move even though his body was still badly injured.

"Because I hate myself, I wanted to die and be reborn into someone else but you messed it up!"

"What's wrong with your life?"

"My life is a curse."

"Your life is a gift, Airin."

"What grace made me have to become a murderer?!"

Airin screamed again but this time she fell and started crying.

Anthony felt that when his ribs had healed, he slowly got up and stepped through the strong wind that surrounded Airin.

"You killed someone?" Asked Anthony carefully.

Airin lifted her face, Airin's tears were like thick black ink and she could barely see Airin's irises because everything was almost black but Anthony was not afraid.

"It's okay if you make a mistake once, you can atone for your sins in other ways but not by dying, I can't lose you."

"Even if the person I have to kill is you?"

Anthony's tears slowly dripped, his body became weak so he fell on his knees right in front of Airin.

Anthony slowly embraced Airin's body and hugged her tightly, letting Airin cry in his arms.

"I don't want to kill you, Anthony... I don't want to do it, thinking about it makes my heart hurt so much that I can't breathe, but they keep saying if it's my duty if killing you is the reason why I was born. Why must it be like that, Thony... I don't want to do it, I'd rather die than have to do it."

Anthony didn't say anything but tightened his embrace and stroked Airin's head gently so that Airin slowly calmed down.

Slowly the wind stopped blowing and the sky became clear again.

Airin raised her head and looked at Anthony, Anthony could see how Airin's hair had turned white again and her black eyes had changed back to how they were before and her tears had also changed.

Anthony wiped Airin's tears and caressed her face gently.

"I'm so scared, Anthony... What if I do it later?"

"That will never happen."

"Then should we separate now? We'd better not have to meet so that doesn't happen."

Airin tried to move away but Anthony still held her tightly.

"I'm not going anywhere, I don't want to part with you."

"But I'm afraid I'll kill you later." Airin cried again in frustration.

"We won't hurt each other because we love each other."

"But I hurt you earlier. I attacked you, I can't control my power."

Anthony held Airin's hands tightly and reassured her. "You can do it."

"I believe you will never kill me..."

Airin was silent, she looked at Anthony deeply and tried to convince herself like what Anthony had told her if she was not going to kill Anthony.

"I trust you, Airin..."

Airin closed her eyes when Anthony kissed her lips softly and gave her the million peace she had been looking for for so long.
