"You could use whatever methods you have to get more damage. Meaning that whether you use external weapons or team up with people, as long as you get a good amount of damage, it will count."

After the instruction of the teacher ended, the students immediately got into work and began teaming up with each other.

They were given 5 minutes.

As they had already determined who suited who, 5 minutes was plenty amount of time for the people to find and team up.

Not just teaming up, it was enough time for them to prepare for the upcoming training.

Both as pyro elemental espers, Kirt and Jade were one team. This was also the reason why they came to knew each other at the start of the season.

So after they had noticed that both of them played God's Lore as well, they became closer with each other.

After the 5 minutes had ended, we prepared for our cooperation.

Both him and I concentrated and closed our eyes. I don't know what Jade was seeing but I was currently seeing the world in a different view now.

The world was now in a black and white; no colors evident except those from the tiny dots floating by. Red, green, blue, white, purple, ...

Each of these colors indicated a different elemental and different power. They had immense potential.

Yet, from them, I could only feel the red dots resonating with myself; it was a weak resonance not to mention. But since I had experienced this feeling many times before, I didn't feel let down or any other excess emotions at all.

Instead, I just continued on and calmly controlled the red dots to gather within my palm.

Once it was successful and many red dots had gathered to form a lump, I opened my eyes and exited the world.

What welcomed me in the normal plane was indeed a lump of fire within my palm. It was just floating there, following my will.

However, it seems like there was a little change to myself once again.

'As expected.. The volume had increased once again'

This world was a supernormal world. A world governed by the power of elementals.

In the world we see today, there are all kinds of elementals existing. From pyro - fire, to cryo - ice, there were currently 8 elements humans could control.

They were:

Pyro - Fire | Electro - Lightning | Cryo - Ice | Geo - Earth | Dendro - Plant | Anemo - Wind | Hydro - Water | Psychno - Spirit

Other from these, there were other elements like the shadow and the light, but they weren't elements normal humans are able to have from their birth. Only some extreme births or those with extreme talent could possess them.

And even among humans, not all of them possessed the talent to master any of these 7 elements.

Only a select few - called espers were able to control them.

Espers were the respected masters of the world in ancient times. Not just a simple difference, they were treated like nobles. If a common household were to give birth to a baby with elemental powers, their status would instantly be alleviated.

It wasn't likely though, as esper abilities were usually more likely to surface in children whose parents possessed esper abilities themselves. It was rare for espers to be born from normal folks.

Even if they were born, their powers would usually be weaker than others.

However, in recent times, espers' numbers had been rising up steadily and the number of common households having esper children had also risen.

Therefore, the stark difference between the treatment of espers and the treatment of common folk had considerably lessened.

Still - espers were still rare. So they still had a higher status than normal people and received better treatment.

Mentioned above, at younger ages, people will have lesser control towards the elements. So the power they are able to show were also weaker.

The esper abilities of people will usually grow slowly but steadily until the adolescence came.

Adolescence - the period of age between 14 - 19.

During this period of time, the esper abilities of people will grow much faster than before. Not just control, their resonance, perception, and everything related to elementals will receive a boost which led to the result of a person receiving a major boost in their power.

There was even the chance of awakening esper powers during this period.

This period of extreme increase in one's control and strength was called the Conversion stage.
