Reason

"I'm trying okay!" I shouted at Lucca as he stops strumming the guitar and faces me. "You are not trying enough! We have a crowd waiting for us to sing-" I didn't let him finish.

"Then you go sing by yourself!" I shouted as I drop the mic and grab my jacket. "You cannot do this Anna this is our dream!" He shouted as he catches up with me as the rain started to fall hard but that didn't stop me from walking away.

"HOW ABOUT US ANNA?!" he shouted and that made me stop. "We worked hard to get here!" he added as my fist clenched and look at him.

"How do you expect me to sing Lucca when my heart is broken?" I asked. "Then what about me?! I'm broken too but I keep on smiling to-"

"Well then don't compare me to you! I am not like you!" I shouted back as I began walking away from him. "Do you hate me that much?" I looked at him as I bite my lips.

He opens his arms like he was waiting for me to go back into his arms but I didn't I walk away and left him hanging with open arms like an idiot.

"You shouldn't leave a man hanging like that," An old lady said as she stands up and opens her umbrella. "You don't want to lose someone again right?" she added as I looked at Lucca walking back to the hotel as my body move and run towards him.

"LUCCA!!!" I shouted as hug him from his back.

"I'm sorry please, Don't leave!" I added but I received no response from him as he raised the umbrella he gets. "I'm not planning to leave, I was just getting this umbrella before I catch on you because it's raining hard," he explained as a flash of lightning shocked me, I don't know but my body just hugged Lucca tightly.

"You never change at all," he whispered, "Your still that Anne I love so much." he carried me in a bridal style as we went back on our room as he let me have my hot bath in the tub, He was about to leave when I pulled his sleeves and told him to take the shower.

"But your taking a-" I didn't let him finish. "J-Just go! I don't want you to get sick! Just don't look in this direction!" I said as he nodded.

The smell of mint and shampoo is all around the bathroom as I make some bubbles on my tub. "Say, let's change the song your about to sing." he started. "Why?" I asked because that song would fit the team of realization.

"Pick a song that can explain what you are and what happens for you to sing it properly with your feelings inside it." I just answered okay as he starts singing.

I don't know but Lucca's voice sound so satisfying and it made me calm.

I started singing as I can hear him stopped the shower, We both like the Book of Life movie since we were kids. And I can even still remember this part where Manolo serenade Maria.

As I finish the song I heard Lucca went out of the shower and left me in the bathroom. I guess he knew that I sang for Cupid.

'I'm cruel to him but he continues to treasure me properly.' I said on my mind as I look at the city lights.

The next day I woke up in Lucca's arms as he was hugging me the whole night. It was not a big issue for me of course since we always sleep together even in Cebu we usually do this kind of stuff and we are way comfortable with each other.

I haven't seen Terrence for a day, Lucca explained that he's on a break. I guess bodyguards like Terrence take a break too.

"Sleep more Anne," He said as I rolled my eyes and fix my hair.

"I want to know why Cupid rejected me," I said as he just ignored me. "How will I benefit from the information that I will give to you?" He asked as my fist clenched.

"Well, I will give you 3 dates if you'll tell me the reason." He opens his eyes and smirk. "You know how to negotiate with me huh?" he asked as I nodded.

"Well then, Cupid already has a daughter." I don't know how to react but Lucca never lied to me before.

"You see when we left he got himself drown in alcohol and got some unknown girl pregnant," he explained.

"Cupid's family already abandon him after he declared his love for you. And now he even causes trouble by having a child with someone unknown," he added.

"Then how did he get his child?" I asked. "The mother left the child in his apartment with a letter. Cupid contact me and asked for my help to make some DNA test so I did help him and it was positive. That day I confessed with you is the day that we know that the child he's living with is her daughter." I was really confused now.

"Then how would you explain that I didn't see a kid when I was in his apartment?" I asked. "Oh that, The child's mother came back and took her daughter. That's why Cupid rejected you because he doesn't want the child to have a broken family as he did."

I finally understand why Cupid was given up on me.
