Chapter 11

After we had return to the hotel from her granny house, she hasn't said anything to me and she wasn't even lousy as always, she just sat alone focus on what she's writing and it makes me curious.

"You know...." she started as she closed the book, I looked at her giving her my attention. "I love to see the fireworks, and a new Month eve is in three days time, I can't wait to see it" she said with a light smile facing me.

I didn't say anything to her since that, I just tried to make my self fall for my book I was reading and not to think of anything outside that.

We booked a train by 2pm and so we packed up and headed to the train station.

It finally arrived and we got seated, "its moving" she says when the train starts to move as she stares at the window.

Not long we arrived home, I walk her home and we bided well. I was already going praying she won't call me again but God didn't hear me there. I heard her yell my name very loud, which made me froze on my foot and then turned just to notice eyes on me.

"I'm not so far away from you, why yell my name?" I asked still standing. "We would meet tomorrow at the library when your done at your work place, since you don't want me coming" she said not waiting for my respond she got in.

I got home that day, had a quick shower and hoped on my bed staring at the celling. I then recalled what i saw in her bag, it was drugs and injections tied in bundle. Thinking about me make me feel unrest. I sighed shutting my eyes then turned to face my right side to have a good day nap to rest from the whole stress of the damn trip.

My phone alarm rings waking me up as I hissed in annoyance checking the time as I stretched to off it, it says 5:45pm. I shoot out from bed so surprise, I must have slept for so long, its been long since I have slept this long.

I stretched and dropped down from bed heading to the bathroom to wash my face then headed to my kitchen to get something to eat. I didn't find anything and I feel so hungry so i took my coat and went out to the near by store.

On my way, I met two young guys bullying a young lady who seems to be innocent, they were asking her for money and she didn't want to give out. I wanted to pass away but I was drown back when I glanced at her, she had her cheeks red. 'Did they hit her?'

"Do you need to force something from someone?" I asked standing in front of her.

"Huh! What are you, her savior or what?" One of the guys who had a ring on his nose ask, he looks so dead they must be some drunkard, 'Good i've involved myself in them'.

"You can say that if you want, I'm trying to save her." I said as they smirk. "Then your looking for a fight right?" They asked, indeed I'm not looking but if they want, I would give them.

"I'm not looking for fight, but if you want I would give you" I said covering the lady behind him, its been long since I fought and if they want to get their teeth broken then I'm ready.

No one said a thing as I watch them mummer then turn to leave, they must be some dumbass freak who just want to think they can out smart people.

"Thank you" I heard her say from behind, I turned to her with a little smile. "Its okay, happy your okay now hurry and return home" I said passing her shopping bag.

"I'm scared, what if they come after me" she said holding my hand, i paused with my eyes widened. The frist person that came to my mind was April. 'For real, first Apirl did the same I ended up being her escort and then this one.' I sighed. "Fine where do you live?" I asked and watch her smile widely.

I escorted her down to her street and watch her get to her house from a far as she waved at me, I did the same. I sighed turning to leave I saw Sasha standing in front of me with a frown and folded arms.

"What are you doing here?" She asked like a boss.

"I don't think you need to know" I replied and she furrowed her brows. "I knew you aren't a good person, I wonder why Apirl mingles with you, your not worth her smile" she barks, I didn't flinch nor answered her, I wanted to walk away and ignore what she had just said but I stopped to watch her pour her anger.

"Every second and minute she's with you not having time to spend with her best friend, you used her and now your with another girl. You dont even have pity."

"No you don't girl, she's a very nice girl to be with, I would be very happy if she choose to spend the time with me, but that won't happen" I said with a smirk.

She bit her lower lip and clinched her hand like she want to punch something. "That will never happen, she has a boy friend you moron" she spat.

"And that's why I said it won't happen, its getting late now, goodnight" I said walking out of her, she wanted to stop me but couldn't. "If anything happens to her, you would pay the price" she said and stumps away. Indeed this might be her area too.

*chuckles* what a coincidence.

I looked up at the sky to know that if anything happens to her the blame is on me, April stay a little longer and I would tell you how much I feel towards you. I returned home that day by 9pm because I had to go round and find something to eat before I get food sick.

(Prose mood)

The next day, they met at the city library to get the book he was looking for while she just sit pinging her phone looking so bored.

"Hey, won't you at least help me out?" He asked as he looks shelves after shelves. "I'm not a bookworm and you'd never enjoy that, hey have you read a book titled the 'fault in our stars?' She asked and he shook his head. Indeed he must have heard about the book but has never read it.

"That was an inspiration book which I read a long time ago, you can come over to my home tonight to get it, mum and dad aren't around so I'm the only one" she said smiling while he looks surprised. He never thought of this, why is she inviting a guy of all people him to her house, if they are being caught, he'd be to blame.

"I don't think that's a good idea" he said and she frown resting back on the chair, "come on, nothing gonna happen just come. Just to take the book that's all and beside it would be yours forever" she said and that caught him. He might not be able to return it back to her cause she can die any moment from now.

"Okay then, just to take the book nothing more" he said and she clapped her hand which made noise and everyone glared at her.

"Sorry" she whispered innocently.
