When we finished eating, we started strolling around to buy clothes for him. I let him choose what he wants to wear first. But his sense of fashion is so awful! Every clothes he chose were horrendous! He’s so tacky. Is this what it’s like in their world? I can't imagine living in his world at all.
In the end, I was the one who chose clothes for him to fit. I picked some clothes that I think will look great on him and then pushed him inside the fitting room. I like shopping but these people who are attracted to Vyl are so annoying. Every move we do, they follow us around with their gazes. Even the sales ladies were staring! There’s even some who’re squealing loudly. Like what the hell? Don’t they have manners? I rolled my eyes because of irritation while waiting for Vyl to come out of the fitting room.
Their murmuring stopped when Vyl came out of the fitting room. All of them stood there slack jawed.
But not me. I’m just looking at him with a slow creeping smile on my face. He looks very handsome in those sky blue short-sleeved polo. Paired with a light brown skinny slacks. His white complexion stood out more because of the color of his clothes. This guy is starting to outshine me, a bit too much.
He looked at me and smiled. "Does this look good?" Followed by a wink.
I rolled my eyes and then smiled. Maybe due to the fangirling wails of the girls watching. I gave him a thumbs up. He smirked at me before going back inside the fitting room. He tried some other clothes that I picked too and all of it looked good on him.
Maybe I should buy some for myself too.
When Vyl finished fitting his clothes, I dragged him towards the ladies’ section.
"I’ll buy some for me as well," I told him with a smile. He didn't say a word and let himself be dragged away. One of my arms is wrapped around his, as if we’ve been acquainted for a long time. Sometimes, I even forget that he's actually a stranger. I don't easily trust people but for some reason, I'm not bothered when I'm with him.
I started choosing clothes with him trailing behind me. I'm currently browsing in a rack full of clothes when Vyl called me.
"Hey, Ven. I think this is nice," he said as he raised a red dress. I inadvertently raised an eyebrow while looking at it. I went near him and took the dress. It's quite nice. And here I am thinking that he doesn’t have an ounce of fashion sense in him but he picked the right dress for me.
I smiled at smiled at him and pulled him towards the fitting room. I made him sit on a bench just outside before going inside the room. I wore the red dress and checked myself out in the mirror. I looked good. Great actually. My pale skin looked even brighter because of the color. I opened the door and playfully posed in front of him like what he was doing earlier when he was the one fitting clothes.
His laughter rang out because of what I did. I raised an eyebrow at him while still smiling. "Well?" I asked.
He wiggled his eyebrows and then laughed before giving me a thumbs up, copying what I did to him earlier. As if on cue, I winked and smirked at him. Before I closed the door, I heard his laughter again, echoing in the place. I shook my head as his laughter still rang out. I'm becoming more and more comfortable around him. And to think that we’ve only been together for a few days. What's with this feeling? Just like what I said a while ago, it feels like we’ve been acquainted for a long time. And it's making me feel anxious.
We’ve been choosing and fitting clothes and shoes for hours when we’ve decided to take a break and have a snack. Looking at clothes too much made me hungry.
I waited in queue to order a set of hamburger and drinks for the two of us. He’s right beside me as well, waiting and walking with me if the queue moves. He’s still looking around bemused with the unusual scenery for him.
"I saw those hamburgers on television. They kept saying it's delicious while eating it. Been wanting to try."
"Well, it is delicious. One of my favorites." I said to him with a smile.
"Hey, what's that kid holding?" I nudged me before pointing at a kid holding a stick of cotton candy. "He's eating the clouds? Pink clouds? What is that thing?"
I again laughed because of his weird descriptions of things. I looked at him and noticed his arched eyebrows. His forehead is furrowed as well. "I'll buy you that later."
"What?! No! I'm not eating a bunch of colorful clouds or whatever you call it."
And I burst out laughing with what his said. A few people in the queue even looked at us to see what the commotion is for. Then it hit me when I noticed it so I shut my mouth in embarrassment.
"That's called a cotton candy. It's sweet. Try some later."
"Definitely doesn't look like a candy. From what I've seen, candies are round small things." He argued with me while glaring at me.
I sneered and ignored him, proceeding to tell our orders to the cashier. Then I pulled him out towards the stall that sells cotton candy.
Just a few moments later and I handed to him a sky blue-tinted cotton candy while mine’s baby pink. He observed and probed around it first, with the notion of eating it not being present. I pinched a little part of his cotton candy and ate it in front of him, urging him to do the same. He doesn’t have a choice anymore so he followed suit. He grabbed a small piece and ate it.
I saw how his eyes widened in surprise, with glances exchanging from me then to the cotton candy. He pinched another but this time, bigger than before and swallowed it.
"It's melting inside my mouth." He even touched his cheek to feel the melting cotton candy inside his mouth.
How can someone react so adorably? I kept on smiling, the hell with him.
"Wanna try some of mine?" He nodded and took a piece of my cotton candy. But when he’s about to eat it, he held his head, as if in agony.
He groaned in pain and I immediately panicked. What the hell is happening?
"Hey, Vyl. Are you okay?" I worriedly asked him as I assisted and prevented him from falling. He looks like he'll fall down and faint anytime soon. He even let his cotton candy go.
"Vyl! What's happening?" I’m starting to get panicky as I helped him to the nearest bench.
I held both of his cheeks so I can lift his face up and see it. He’s very pale. There’s also a red liquid trickling down from his nose.
"Shit! Your nose is bleeding!" I quickly pulled my handkerchief from my pocket and wiped the dripping blood from his nose. I had him rest his head on my shoulders as we both sat down.
"Vyl, tell me what's happening." I worriedly caressed his soft locks. I'm really worried. I don't know what to do. I hate it when I can't do anything!
"They know." He said weakly.
"What?" I asked because I don’t understand what he’s saying.
"They already know I'm here."
