Chapter 4

Ben's POV

I had notice her trying to sneak into the lab without Mr Davis noticing but I want him to, because I want her to sit beside me.



Today is the day, I had purposely kept the seat beside me empty I had purposely ward off everyone who wanted to sit beside me,and ,trust me it was hard considering the fact all the girls in school always want to be near me, all the girls but her. So I had decided that today is the day, I am finally going to talk to her.

And in order for that to happen Mr Davis must catch her trying to sneak into the lab and knowing that the seat beside me is the only empty seat he is going to ask her to sit beside me. So I made a squeak with my desk and this catches Mr Davis's attention, he turns to investigate the source of the disturbance but catches her trying to sneak in.

"How nice of you to join us Miss May" said Mr Davis which causes the whole class to laugh

"Sorry Mr Davis" she says

"Its no problem but try not to make it an habit, take a seat here" he said pointing to the seat beside me.

I waited for her to come seat beside me but she did not move from where she stood.



Mr Davis must have also noticed her still standing because he said "Miss May, you can either sit there or leave my class your choice" after hearing this she slowly made her way to the empty seat beside me.

I could hear Mr Davis saying some things but I couldn't really concentrate on what he was saying because my mind was focused on the fact that she is here sitting beside me. Shit. It's not a dream, she really is here. My dream girl. Sitting besides me.

I had promise myself that I was going to talk to her today so I task my brain looking for anything to say to her and it finally hit me.



I had overheard some girls saying that her neighbor was involved in an ancient, so I decided to use that as an excuse to talk to her

"Am sorry " I said to her

"Huh?" She asked with a confused look on her face

"about your neighbor, I heard about what happened to her"

"oh" was her only reply.



I started looking for anything to say to continue our conversation but she beat me to it by saying "you know that, that's the first thing you've ever said to me"

I know that but I decided to pretend not to by saying "oh, I didn't know that, let's start again, am Ben"and I stretched out my hand with a smile on my face.

"am-"

"May" I replied while grabbing her hand and I could see surprise on her face as she look at her hand in mine, I could see a blush moving across her face and I was pleased that I was the cause of it.



She remove her hand from mine and asked "how do you know my name?".

I was about to finally reveal it all just as I had planned with Clyde, my best friend. I wanted to tell her about how we've had English, biology a nd mathematics together for the past semester and maybe ask her on a date.

I was about to,as open my mouth to say it all I was interrupted by Mr Davis

"Seeing as you are both discussing, I assume that you've gotten the required reaction"

"No, sir" I replied

"Then you best stop talking and focus on the practical"

"Okay, Sir"replied May.

And that was unfortunately the end of the conversation. It made me angry at Mr Davis but there was nothing I could do now. All my planning has gone to waste.

Hmm. I will have to meet up with Clyde and convince him to help come up with another plan like always. He is the plan master. He plans everything. He has already plan how his life will be like in five years,where he will be and what he will be doing by then. Unlike me. He will be able to help me,after all I am his best friend. As he is mine.
